PENGERTIAN
Definition:
Rivet is a short cylindrical bar with a head integral with it. Thecylindrical portion of the rivets is called shank or body and
lower portion of shank is known as tail.
Rivets are usually made from steel, brass, alluminum, copper
Function:
The function of rivets in a joint is to make a connection that
has strength and tightness.

TIPE SAMBUNGAN KELING
Dua tipe sambungan
± Lap Joint
A lap joint is that in which one plate overlaps
the other and the two plates are then riveted
together.
± Butt Joint
A butt joint is that in which the main plates are
kept in allignment butting (touching) each other
and a cover plate (strap) is placed either on
one side or in both sides of the main plates. ± Single strap butt joint.
± Double strap butt joint.
