MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGEMENT TEAM
PRELUDE BY EDITOR Dr. Subir Kumar Banerjee
Founder President & Trustee Mrs. Surva S. Banerjee
President
Congratulations!!! To the New Horizon Institute of Technology and Management (NHITM), for the publication of its new issue of
Technohorizon. We acknowledge the true potential of our Principal, faculty, staff & students, as they are working hard to produce
the productive & ethical manpower by being proactive in all arenas to nurture the intellects & heading towards achieveing excellence.
We wish you a fruitful year 2018-19, & appreciate all the efforts.
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
The academic year 2018-19, will be marked as an important
year in the history of NHITM as our first batch of Engineer’s
will pass out, stepping into the professional arena, facing the
challenges thrown up by globalization. I wish them success
in all their accomplishments, be it beginning of their careers
or advancements in further studies.
I wish to express my heartfelt, gratitude to our honourable
Founder President and Trustee Dr Subir Kumar Banerjee,
President, Mrs Suvra Banerjee and other members of the
management for their endearing support to us. From the time
we embarked on our academic journey in 2014, NHITM has
always stood for best teaching practices, pursuing our vision
to foster the holistic development of the learners through
diverse teaching learning methodologies with the
commitment to ensure international industry standards and to
serve the society, to ascertain professional excellence.
I wish to share that the most basic quality that identifies an
Engineer is the knowledge in the field of study. Good grades
on the certificate are a reflection of curriculum-based core
knowledge. At the same time, you must be equipped with the
ability to apply it to solve real-time problems. In a world that
rewards perseverance, resilience, problem-solving and the
drive to take initiative, our endeavor is to prepare our students
well to step into the corporate sphere, to proceed on their
journey towards fulfilling their dreams.
FROM THE EDITOR’S DESK
Today with unfathomable pride and pleasure we release this
edition of Technohorizon with the aim of creating a window to
get a glimpse of the ideology and practices at NHITM, moving
towards technical prowess and humanitarian skills. In the
present times we often witness a devious, “go - for the gold rat
race” for grades, pointers, marks which continues. Today’s
youth, our progenitors have supposedly lost their way in the
byzantine maze where the true worth of knowledge is unclear.
So engrossed are they with a focused approach toward a single
centric goal to grab grades that they have really parted ways
with, not only true knowledge but even their passion, creativity
and much of their moral values.
Our best practices in the NHITM campus is working towards a goal to achieve as a common objective, a mode of student
development, through mentor-mentee practice, towards
creating an arena of technical expertise, accompanied by sense of social responsibility and environmental awareness too. The
faculty, staff and students are so deeply entwined as a family,
the essence of which is vibrantly displayed, not only during festive celebrations, but also during technical conclaves too,
which facilitates striking outcomes in all events.
In the institute we usually miss out felicitating the achievements of all from time to time and hence this newsletter
Technohorizon will serve as a medium of recognition for the
individuals as well as departmental efforts and achievements of the NHITM family!! Wishing “Enjoyable Reading” from the
Editorial Board, Technohorizon!
MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGING DIRECTOR
Dear All Readers! It is indeed a matter of great pleasure to address the readers of this new edition of our newsletter Technohorizon- which serves to connect us with
all the readers i.e, our very own students as well as the external readers.
The steadfast progress of our country in the field of Science and Technology has provided a surge in phenomenal demand for qualified engineers
in all areas and to cope upto the demand, there has been a significant rise in institutions offering Engineering education.
NHITM was established in the year 2014, further it is the vision of our honorable President, Dr. Subir Kumar Banerjee to transform the lives of
students through the integration of teaching and learning, to create a base in preparing professionals with exemplary technical as well as
professional competency. The 2018 batch, would be our first batch of final year students and it is heartening to note that over this period, we have
been consistently able to impart quality education to our students. The progress of any educational institution rests on committed faculty members,
supportive administration, quality infrastructure, large pool of learning resources and responsive students too, which is a very important factor.
Thus, it has always been our motto to consistently upgrade the skills of faculty, who would in turn ably transform the students and make them
apt to take up the challenges thrown up by the growing competition in the professional arena.
Looking forward for such initiatives from the Editorial Board, best wishes to all the readers!!!
Dr. Prashant D. Deshmukh Dr. Mousumi B. James
