EXPECTATIONS FOR USING DIGITAL DEVICES IN THE HALLWAYS AND CAFETERIA

Students may use their devices in the hallway and cafeteria to check text messages and listen to music with ear buds.

All ear buds should be kept at a level that announcements can still be heard.

The camera/video function is not allowed.

Failure to follow expectations could result in loss of privilege.

USING DIGITAL DEVICES IN THE CLASSROOM

Students may use digital devices in classrooms as a tool for learning with teacher permission.

Not following classroom expectations regarding digital devices could result in loss of privilege and/or consequences.

Why can’t I use my digital devices in the restroom or locker rooms?

Answer If this is part of a school

project, with teacher permission, and if the video is appropriate then it is okay.

School is a closed and secured environment where taking pictures and videos without school adult permission and supervision is not acceptable.

Students may not use their digital devices in the restrooms or locker rooms due to privacy issues.
