Façade lighting with many vari-ationsAccentuating historic façadeswith grazing light or structuringlarge sections of façade with lightpatterns are only some of thestrengths displayed by Cylinderfaçade luminaires. The wide varietyof distribution options includesdirect, indirect and direct--indirectnarrow or wide beams. For thepurpose of conforming to theDark Sky standard, the indirectdistribution is inclined towards thefaçade to avoid spill light into thenight sky.

The direct distribution optionsinclude versions that pool thelight in a semicircle on the groundor with a beam edge ending justbefore the façade. As a commondenominator, all Cylinder façadeluminaires produce the character-istic grazing light to emphasisetextures on the façade.

Floor washlightsSpot, Oval flood

WashlightingCylinder floor washlights withoval flood and spot light distribu-tion, directed downward, providesubtle light for a glare-free and –with oval flood beam – uniformillumination of pathways nearfaçades. The recommended mount-ing height (h) for floor washlightsis 2m above the ground.

Arrangement: h = 2m

For uniform washlighting of theground with oval flood distribution,the luminaire spacing (d) shouldequal the mounting height (h).The luminaire spacing for visualguidance, for example with thespot light distribution, depends onthe design criteria.
