Cyclomundo specializes in cost-effective but value-packed bicycle tours suitable for all levels of riding throughout France and areas of Italy, Spain and Switzerland.

Cyclomundo’s goal is to inspire freedom through self-exploration of unfamiliar landscapes and to provide the necessary means to a healthy and environmentally responsible vacation. To ensure the most genuine and quality bicycling vacations, Cyclomundo personally scouts or develops each tour and deals with only local businesses. The locality of Cyclomundo’s headquarters in Geneva allows them to customize tours on request, setting Cyclomundo apart from other bicycle tour operators.

Customized Tours

What sets Cyclomundo apart from other cycle touring companies is their unique ability to offer customizable tours. Most tour operators have set itineraries and are not able to be as flexible as Cyclomundo for accommodating personalized requests. Several factors go into their ability to do this, including the locality of their headquarters in Geneva, their business model which utilizes local tour operators and guides, their attention to detail, and their devotion to developing and sustaining a relationship with each and every one of their clients.

Authentic Culture

Cyclomundo's mission is to expose clients to an authentic side of every region their tours explore.

Thanks to the hotels they use, along with the guides and local operators they work with, they can achieve this goal. This is enhanced by the fact that most tours they offer are organized on a self-guided basis, meaning riders will unavoidably interact with the locals at one point or another on their trip.

Self Guided Tours

Cyclomundo is unique because of their specialization in self-guided touring. Cyclomundo provides maps, route notes and suggestions, handles meal and lodging bookings, and provides luggage transfers. This allows cyclists to experience the best opportunities and rides available in an area, while giving them the freedom to travel at their own pace. With self-guided tours, cyclists have the opportunity to go as fast or as leisurely as they like, and Cyclomundo’s maps and notes ensure that cyclists won’t miss a thing. The many options for this type of touring is what sets Cyclomundo apart, according to many of their past clients.

Guided Tours

In addition to self-guided tours, Cyclomundo also offers guided bicycle tours led by local guides who have been professionally guiding, recreationally riding, and living in these regions for years.

Since Cyclomundo’s guides are true locals, they have access to personal knowledge, connections and inside info that most tour companies just can’t offer. This key difference is what makes Cyclomundo’s guided trips truly stand out from the pack.

Cyclosportive Opportunities Besides being an established cycling tour operator for guided and self-guided tours, Cyclomundo is also the official tour operator for several major cyclosportive events. These events are generally geared towards avid cyclists that enjoy the “race setting” atmosphere. Cyclomundo specializes in facilitating event registration and support, and also offers all-inclusive packages for these events so participants can focus entirely on their cycling. Many of Cyclomundo’s cyclosportive event packages include opportunities for recreational cyclists to ride along side the pros.

Care for the Environment

Cyclomundo is involved with a few cycling advocacy groups, including Bourgeons in Annemasse, Pro-Velo and Eco-Cycle in Geneva, that help promote cycling as a means for responsible travel. As such, Cyclomundo always tries to steer consumers away from cars and get them on bikes. Cyclomundo does this by offering a 50-euro discount to all clients that are also members of a cycling advocacy group. Also, Cyclomundo office employees and interns are each provided with a bike to use for daily commuting.

Care for the Economy

As a France-based company, Cyclomundo pays taxes that help the local economy and communities. Similarly, Cyclomundo works with small companies including locally owned hotels, bike shops, restaurants, guides, mechanics and incoming agencies. Working with local, family-owned businesses guarantees that the money remains in the local economy, benefiting the local communities, services, roads and infrastructure.

Care for the Community

Cyclomundo’s headquarters are in Geneva, so they really can't get any more “local”.

Cyclomundo’s business model is based on the use of a network of renters, local operators and guides. Cyclomundo doesn’t fly guides from the US or the UK... all operators and guides are locals, and bikes are bought from local shops. Cyclomundo’s business directly contributes the individuals and local businesses that their tours take place in.
