WELCOME TO THE ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CYCLING SAFETY CONFERENCE
Dear Participants; We warmly welcome you to this 6th International Cycling Safety Conference which contin-ues the annual series of meetings previously held in Delft, Gothenberg, Hannover and Bo-logna. The 2017 meeting at University of California, Davis will have more than 90 presentations by authors from the United States, Australia, Germany, Belgium, Japan, Sweden, Nether-lands, Canada, Greece, United Kingdom, Spain, Hungary and New Zealand. The proceed-ings consisting of three page abstracts will be published electronically using Figshare for all conference participants. A later special issue of the Journal of Safety Research will include selected papers and allow archiving of longer papers more fully explaining research activities. This issue of full length papers will be based on abstracts which have been submitted to the confer-ence and its editorial activities will occur through an independent Editorial Board. We hope the conference will be an opportunity for all participants to visit with old friends, to make new friends, to tell others about your research or other activities, to get new ideas and to generally enjoy yourselves in an ambience of relaxed intellectual ferment.
