The Produced Water shown in the surge tank

above was so highly contaminated that it was plugging injection wells. An electrocoagulation

system was installed to treat this water prior to injection into a disposal well.

Results of the treatment are apparent in the

pictures below. The cup to the left contains water drawn from a test port on the electrocoagulation

system. After a brief settling period, the water was poured through a simple filter and accumulated in the cup on the right in the picture below.
