Summary of Skills and Experience Gained and Developed :

35- years of teaching and research experience in subject fields. 22 years of research guiding, experience in Earthquake Seismology and RemoteSensing at M.Sc. Tech/ M. Tech / Ph. D level. Trained in US laboratoriesincluding in NASA, California as Visiting Scholar under Indo AmericanFellowship programmes for advanced research in RemoteSensing/Resources Management, Seismology(1983,84; 1976-77).Including a year at Jet Propulsion Lab of NASA California, USA. In additionvisited several countries viz.; the Netherland, Germany, UK, Italy, Sweden,Malaysia, Singapore as Visiting Scientist under various schemes of UGC/Min of Education Exchange Fellowship programmes of, Govt of India.

Presently holding the post of Administrative , Head Dept of AppliedGeophysics ISMU Dhanbad since 2006 .

Fifty nine research papers have been published in various Internationaland National, Journals and in Proc. of Conferences ,Seminar and Symposia,and in Monographs/books.

One PhD produced and two are in progress.

Eight Technical reports prepared and submitted.

Ten consultancy programme carried out and Reports prepared.

Five Sponsored Research projects funded by MOEF, DST. Dept of SpaceUGC costing around Rs.Seventy five lakhs have been successfullycompleted and Reports submitted to agencies.

Two Research projects(under UGC and SAC) are in hand.

Several Research papers presented in Seminars and Symposia in Indiaand Abroad.

Chaired Scientific Sessions too in Seminars.

Attended Several Executive Development programmes in India and abroadin various Scientific Organisations.

Organised International Conference on Remote Sensing Applications inMining Environment,1988. Proceedings published and about fifty copieshave been sold @ Rs 300/- per copy. Book Review on this proceeding hasbeen published by Expert of IIT Bombay in Geological Society of IndiaJournal.

Conducted 3 months Training for NTPC Geophysical Executives

An excellent Remote Sensing Lab has been developed which has

been recognised by the Visited Committee on Integrated Mission of Sustainable Development (IMSD)of Dept of Space for carrying outdata analysis work by the industry. UGC Expert Committee onrecord finally recommended to upgrade the Lab into a Centre.

Other Academic Activities:

1.Working as Examiner/Paper Setter for the Indian Universities andPhD Examiner for Indian Universities.

2. Working as Reviewer for Research papers submitted in ResearchJournals on the subject and also of Research projects submitted forfunding particularly in DST New Delhi and MOEF, New Delhi.

4. Worked as Students Faculty Adviser and Coordinator for NationalService Scheme at ISM.
