CALLING ALL CADETS! Currumbin Valley Rescue wants you! We are seeking students who can Communicate well with others, Value their teammates and be Resilient when times get tough! If that sounds like you, then we need you here! Currumbin Valley Rescue – where Together Everyone Achieves More! Program Aim: Currumbin Valley Rescue is a two night camp where students c ommunication, v aluing others and r esilience (CVR) is put to the test! After arriving at camp and being inducted into cadet teams (Alpha, Bravo and Charlie), the cadets are presented with three training modules to complete. Under the guidance of centre staff, these modules which include rock climbing, bushwalking and raft-building, each requiring the cadet teams to ‘answer the call’ and come to someone’s aid. Focused moments of reflection will provide cadet teams the chance to identify their strengths and potential areas for improvement with each module allowing an opportunity to put these improvements into action. The camp concludes with a celebration day but not before a final twist! Cadets will use the knowledge and skills learned throughout their modules to complete a multiple team rescue scenario. Following this will be a final reflection before a celebration activity to complete their camp.
