Personal Summary:Ismael Sanchez studied architecture at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Colombia. After graduating in 2001, he worked part time in Urban Lab of research centre (LAUR) and was awarded by the Pontificia Bolivariana University of Medellin Colombia (2001) with a specialization in Company Management for Architecture. In 2001 he successfully attained his Professional registration and he became member of Architect Society of Colombia.

Ismael started his professional career at Shell Colombia In 2001 as Project Architect where he worked for the pre-project planning (PPP) of a network scheme of +55 Petrol Stations. Later, he was promoted to taking the schemes through from the concept to the constructions and collaborated periodically in Venezuela and Jamaica expansion plans.

From March 2003 Ismael Worked for British Petroleum in Azerbaijan in a series of social development which included The International School of Azerbaijan and Exploration clinic facility. After the completion Ismael became part of multidisciplinary team for the preparation of front-end engineering design (FEED) for the second largest oil and gas terminal (The Sangachal Terminal, has a processing capacity of 1.2 million barrels per day and 1.25 billion cubic feet of gas per day (bcfd).

At the end of 2004 Ismael is transferred into Onshore Project coordination, in a sequence of projects which included The Drilling simulator building, Accommodation buildings, and The Exhibition Centre. Due the fact that Ismael has special interest in ‘Quality Health and Safety’, He was awarded with NEBOSH certification, and he demonstrated QHSE compliance to every project (cero injuries target).

Ismael is a result-driven, a highly resourceful, flexible innovative, and enthusiastic Project Manager, therefore in 2006 he was appointed by BP for the delivery of building facilities for the BTC's and The Shah Deniz Oil and gas plant.

Ismael joined Foster + Partners in September 2007; for the design of high rise towers in Almaty and respected cultural center in Astana, both in Kazakhstan. After successful completion Ismael is appointed as CDM- Coordinator to secure compliance and managing the health and safety in design and construction in wide-reaching locations as Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, UK, Spain, Monaco and Morocco. Sir Norman Foster is a well know English Architect that has been responsible of prestigious skyscrapers’ worldwide. At the end of 2008 he became member of IOSH as a practitioner technician.

In September of 2010, Ismael joined Repsol upstream for a robust project in Algeria; The Reggane North gas filed with capacity to produce of 8 million cubic meters/day of gas. He was appointed as Construction Project Manager for the Headquarter offices in Algeria and Design Manager for the living facilities at the Sahara desert in a remote conditions (Operation Site offices, Military, Kitchen, Canteen accommodation)

At the end of 2012 Ismael returned to Colombia to work for TRAFIGURA in a new marked- entry. As Engineering Chef he managed successfully an extensive Project Portfolio within different cities, and recognized projects such as The Fluvial and Maritime Training School (Barranquilla) with the first vessel simulator in South America; Trafigura Head Quarters Offices in Bogota; Impala Head Quarters in Barranquilla; Ferrocarril del Pacifico HQ Offices, Railways Training School, the facilities held special heritage protection icon of Cali. Also The Buenaventura cargo port- yard and Topaga coal yard. Ismael became part of the engineering team at Barrancabermeja IMPALA PORT ( with handling capacity of the 100.000 Barrels per day and 2 Millions of Tons per year of dry cargo), where Ismael was the responsible over 15 building facilities.

Currently Ismael works as Chief Architect at Aone +, focuses in new projects and construction of two middle-rise building in Bogota.

Ismael has considerable experience in managing Design and Construction Projects and well-verse in health and safety. Also he is rich in worldwide cultures and has no global restrictions; he speaks Spanish, English and French. Ismael is a Spanish and Colombian passport holder
