Employment History

27/05/16 – 26/08/16 (Seasonal) Archerfield Golf Club, DirletonThis is a summer job that I had worked last year, where I prepare the buffets, polish cutlery, taking orders, serving food and cleaning tables. I also had to serve drinks and use the till. Other duties I had were cleaning the restaurant after closing, taking out the newspapers, bagging old napkins and table cloths to be sent away and cleaning the glasses. I also did a few night shifts because we had a few big events happening in the clubhouse and very little time during the day to do all the preparations so I volunteered to work three night shifts where I made all the preparations, set both the private dining room and restaurant for breakfast, the cleaning and checking all stock was fully stocked up, for example the table cloths and the stations.

14/06/14 – 14/07/14(Temp) Barmaid, Auld Hoose, North BerwickI was hired to work during the World Cup seasons. I learned basic skills behind the bar, for example pouring a pint and dealt with cash in hand. I also learned to stock the shelves.

November 2011 – August 2013 Kitchen Porter, Zanzibar, North BerwickMy responsibilities were to make the sandwiches and clear the tables. I also had to clean the dishes and mugs. When closed, myself and my co-workers would clean the floors and tidy the kitchen, the bathroom, the back room and the front room.

Positions of Responsibility Held

2016 – Present Radio Show Host (University of the West of Scotland)I am currently a co-host on a radio show that I and my friend created. The show is called the Popcorn and Soda show where we play music from films and tv shows. Each week is a different theme and we have a Facebook page to update our listeners each week and we play some games with the audiences for example quizzes.

2015 – 2016 Social Committee (University of the West of Scotland)I was a member of the social committee for one year. As a member I helped coming up with ideas for social events for freshers and then events throughout the year where the events were held in the university union. I also helped with setting up the events and inviting students to events such as pub quizzes, Halloween night, Star Wars night and Games night.

2012 – 2013 Mentor (North Berwick High School)I offered to be a mentor to help pupils in first and second years who

werestruggling with school work or with other pupils. I had to go through an anti-bullying programme to improve my people skills in order to give advice and care for the younger pupils.

2012 – 2013 Member of the Leavers Dance Group (North Berwick High School)As a member I had to help make decisions for our leavers dance and one of main roles was to help pick a location to hold our dance.
