Inspired Karters was one of the two Indian teams to have been invited to take part in Formula Student – Hungary 2012, held at port of Gyor on August 17 – 21, 2012. This competition demanded its participants to design and fabricate a Formula style racing car. Designed the Suspension of the vehicle. Worked on design and simulation of geometry of A arms. Tuned the suspension of vehicle, to achieve maximum traction, by charting the compression and rebound forces of damper. Performed FEA using ANSYS and used HYPERMESH for preprocessing. Used LS Dyna for FE analysis of impact attenuator. Worked with powertrain team and created acceleration performance of engine in MATLAB. Engine model was created using CREO. Simulated engine performance in RICARDO WAVE software. Used DFMEA extensively during this project.
