Wayne Brown: Curriculum Vitae CELTA qualified English language teacher with 4 years English teaching experience in Saudi Arabia and in South Korea. Currently, I am an English Language Instructor at the University of Hail, Saudi Arabia where my primary role is to develop the student’s English ability before they undertake undergraduate studies in medicine and engineering. My existing one year contract ends in January 2017, and I am looking for a post that will allow me to continue sharing my experience of teaching in an Arabic teaching environment while further developing my professional and academic knowledge of English as a foreign language. I’m currently completing an MA TESOL, finishing in February 2017). My MA dissertation has a specific focus on blended e-learning and classroom motivation in relation to Arabic culture and learning needs.

Teaching Experience and Skills
Taught male university students between the ages of 17 and 22 (Class size 28-40) years in preparation for undergraduate study. Students fell within the levels of beginner to upper-intermediate (KSA).
As a volunteer for the university English Club, I provided additional English night classes to adult students (KSA). Teacher of English language classes to elementary level students aged 6 to 13 years. The average class size was
24-30 students who had differing ability (South Korea). Taught English classes to adult students between the ages of 17 and 60 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Provided speaking classes to Spanish interns between the ages of 19 and 22 in Scotland. Prepared and produced learning materials for classes, exams and activities. Created and facilitated English summer and winter camps. Coached students for speaking competitions. Assisted head teacher when interviewing candidates for English teaching positions (South Korea) Coordinated and provided tutoring for an English language meet up group(Scotland)
Additional Skills and Experience
Developed an English language website to complement the classroom curriculum in KSA
Proofread and updated content for the Independent Living in Scotland website. Designed and developed a contact database, a needs analysis of the existing website and a brief for redesigning the website
Produced a series of information leaflets for Epilepsy Scotland, a charity aimed at children and adults with learning difficulty. In achieving this, I organised workshops, presentations and focus groups with service users, medical professionals and educationalists
Worked as a support worker to adults with learning difficulties on a one-to-one and group basis
