About me
I have completed my degree in BSC Building Surveying and a Masters in MSC Construction
Management at the University of Birmingham. I have a number of skills that will benefit me in
a wide variety of places. I work well in a team, and independently. I am able to communicate
effectively and clearly with people of all ages and backgrounds. I am enthusiastic and a
quick learner applying 100% in all that I put my mind to. I am able to use my own initiative
with minimum guidance along with taking great pride in all that I do and I like to keep on top
of all tasks set. I have experience which has giving me a chance to gain skill such as
interacting and communicating with the public. Some other skills include the ability to use
Auto Cad, Revit, Sketch up and many more software which can prove useful in the
construction industry.
Employment history
14/10/2016 – Present Vauxhall Main Dealers – Sales Executive
Vauxhall is a well-established leading brand motor trade dealership which required a strong
and driven automotive vehicle Used Car Sales Executive in Leicester. My responsibilities
included:
• Drive the business forward and maximise customer satisfaction • Motivate and manage the Car Sales Team – mainly used but also new • Understand the different needs of the Retail and Fleet Sales Team and support them to achieve their objectives • Work in an environment that demonstrates profit orientation and commercial awareness • Manage the team in a hands-on style • Provide F&I support to all Sales Executives • Follow a process driven sales process from a retail background
07/09– 10/15 Adam of Coventry Ltd - Sales Executive
The job entailed:
Working with the sales team at the car show room
Answering the telephone, replying to customers emails
Booking appointments for car viewings
Organising the rota
Producing sales invoices, deposit sheets and online advertisements
First point of contacts for all customers, guide them to the right department or show
them around a car
Handling money and paperwork
06/14 – 09/14 Mosey Malone CONSTRUCTION - Assistant Builder
This was a summer placement job which I was able to work in the construction industry
shadowing professionals in their jobs. I was able to get an insight in to the industry along
with some hand on experience. I worked with jobs such as renovation, roofing and repairs,
adapting and repairing aspects of buildings. One particular job I did was an EPDM Rubber
membrane roof adaptation where an existing flat roof was upgraded to new technology of a
rubber roof. This job gave me knowledge with the building industry, building materials along
with the construction behind the buildings.
01/16 – 05/16 Bansel Innovations – Assistant Manager
Bansel Innovations provided me with the opportunity to work closely with the head property
managers within the business. As an ‘Assistant Manager’ I would take responsibilities as site
surveys, managing contracts, client satisfaction, and overviewing site projects. Within the 6
months of working with this company I was able to be a part of 6 different projects in the
property industry.
Extra-Curricular Activities
09/11 – 08/12 President Kennedy School (A member of Student council)
My responsibility as a member of the student council was to converse about certain aspects
and issues that had come up in the our sixth form community along with setting regular
meetings in which the problems could be resolved and further improvements to the sixth
form experience for students could be improved.
05/13 – 07/13 Youth project
I was a part of a programme which enabled me to become a role model/mentor for the
younger generation. It enabled me to build on my social skills, also on my leadership skills
and mentoring skills. I was dealing with younger people with social problems they would
face, I would help them take the right path and give them advice on what steps to take which
would better them.
