Project Description & my role:A 24/7 type Support project for the biggest Semiconductor company in the world, with a huge landscape of over 65 servers and containing a vast SAP Netweaver platform with multiple components and SAP modules. I was responsible for the following: ·

Activities Performed:

• Transporting Change Requests to Quality & Production systems at both SAP and OS levels. • Creating daily SAP Healthcheck monitoring sheet for both Production & Non-Live systems. • Scheduling of background jobs using third party tool like Maestro Tivoli Workload Scheduler.

• SAP R/3 Security basic activities like creating/locking and unlocking users.• ABAP Dump Analysis.• Handling day to day incidents/workorders using ticketing tools like Remedy.• Applying Support Packages, SAP Notes and Add-ons.• Generation of SSCR keys and objects.

Activities Performed:

• Transporting Change Requests to Quality & Production systems. • Applying Support Packages and add-ons via SPAM/SAINT. • Assigning Roles &authorizations using PFCG.

• User administration-Creating, assigning, unlocking and resetting users and passwords.• Monitoring and solving system alerts using the HP OVO tool. • Oracle patching & Kernel Upgrades.• Troubleshooting & maintaining SAP connections.• Performance tuning and monitoring.• Stopping and restarting SAP application servers and SAP database instances.• Setting up RFC connections between systems. • DB backup & monitoring.• Creating TMS and RFC connections. • Background Job Management• Patch/Note Management• Troubleshooting & background job monitoring.• Creating daily Healthcheck monitoring sheets for production and quality systems.

Project Description:I also experienced a SAP Technical Upgrade project where I was deployed as a shadow resource. The upgrade was from ECC 4.7 to 6.0 on a 3-system landscape where I gained first-hand knowledge on the fundamentals and concepts of the below mentioned activities.

Installing Solution Manager 7.1 and it’s configuration. SAP Router and MOPZ configuration. Performing backup/restore (homogeneous copy) System Monitoring, Performance Tuning & after go-live support. Sandbox/Development/Quality Upgrade Implementing Enhancement & Support Packages(SPAM/SAINT), Implementing SAP Notes. SSO, Creating TMS connections. Installing SAP ABAP+JAVA Stack. Performing backup/restore(homogeneous copy)using Silverlight Studio. DB and data migration/restore. Generating Stack.xml file. Creating Shadow Instance. Post Upgrade Support until system stability.
