28 March 2016 CV FOR YOUR ATTENTION The purpose of this CV is for the consideration of any possible employment programs offered in the field or related field of quality assurance/control or occupational health and safety. As a graduate with a B.Sc. from Stellenbosch University, and as a current Master’s student in Occupational Hygiene, I believe I am an excellent candidate to work at this institute. Occupational Hygiene is a very extensive qualification provided by the North-West University wherein human health and safety is a primary focus, all the while including studies in legislation such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (85 of 1993) and the Mine Health and Safety Act (29 of 1996). My current Masters dissertation is focused on the health effects of additive manufacturing (3D printing) on operators of these machines, a study funded by the CSIR and the Department of Science and Technology of the NWU. In 2013 I was enrolled at UCT in their Honours program in Nutrition and Dietetics for the first semester but I left due to personal reasons. During my studies there I learnt valuable information concerning food safety, HACCP principles and food service management. I would still consider myself to be very knowledgeable in this field through personal study as well and I have a keen interest in food safety and quality. Due to the extensive amount of management, administration and organization that it requires to complete a Master’s degree, I believe any employment in this direction would greatly advance the business that I work at. I am available, should you require any further information. Thank you for taking the time to consider my CV. I eagerly await your response. Yours faithfully, Grace Adams. CV FOR YOUR ATTENTION

The purpose of this CV is for the consideration of any possible employment programs offered in the

field or related field of quality assurance/control or occupational health and safety.

As a graduate with a B.Sc. from Stellenbosch University, and as a current Master’s student in

Occupational Hygiene, I believe I am an excellent candidate to work at this institute. Occupational

Hygiene is a very extensive qualification provided by the North-West University wherein human

health and safety is a primary focus, all the while including studies in legislation such as the

Occupational Health and Safety Act (85 of 1993) and the Mine Health and Safety Act (29 of 1996).

My current Masters dissertation is focused on the health effects of additive manufacturing (3D

printing) on operators of these machines, a study funded by the CSIR and the Department of Science

and Technology of the NWU. In 2013 I was enrolled at UCT in their Honours program in Nutrition

and Dietetics for the first semester but I left due to personal reasons. During my studies there I learnt

valuable information concerning food safety, HACCP principles and food service management. I

would still consider myself to be very knowledgeable in this field through personal study as well and

I have a keen interest in food safety and quality. Due to the extensive amount of management,

administration and organization that it requires to complete a Master’s degree, I believe any

employment in this direction would greatly advance the business that I work at.

I am available, should you require any further information. Thank you for taking the time to consider

my CV. I eagerly await your response.

Yours faithfully,

Grace Adams.

2. PERSONAL PROFILE

I am a very caring and open person who enjoys meeting new people and lending a helping hand. I

have a passion for the safety and health of others while being dedicated, loyal and trustworthy to

always fulfill commitments and pursue anything with zeal, to the best of my ability. When the decision

has been made to pursue a task, I give 100%, and will not stop until the job has been completed well.

3. CAREER GOAL/OBJECTIVE

I would like to be employed at a company where I can invest the skills I have obtained throughout my

studies in human health and safety; an environment where I can share my passion for people and their

wellbeing, all the while maintaining company integrity and assisting in creating an atmosphere that is

mindful of the importance of a safe work environment - to the benefit of both the employee and the

employer. My goal is to gain as much work experience in the field of occupational health and safety,

to train the workforce and employers in necessary health and safety procedures and risks, and to

eventually branch out into quality control (I intend to enroll in the short learning programme in total

quality management through UNISA in 2017). I originally studied in the direction of occupational

hygiene but I intend to go into quality, food safety or occupational health and safety as I am about to

be married in November and would much rather a work place with less extensive travel involved. My

occupational hygiene qualifications far outweigh that of traditional health and safety programs/courses

offered due to its vast coverage of human health, workplace risks and an all-encompassing

understanding of legislation as well as workplace and biological stressors on the human being. In 2013

I was enrolled at UCT in their Honours program in Nutrition and Dietetics for the first semester but I

left due to personal reasons. During my studies there I learnt valuable information concerning food

safety, HACCP principles and food service management. This study area still holds great interest to

me and I would like to further any studies in this field through short learning programmes such as ISO

22000.
