Armando (a.k.a Arn) A. Mendoza, is a 1980 B.S. Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. He graduated at the age of 20 and passed the Civil Engineering Board Examination the following year. One of his earlier achievement was
foregoing review class and establishing a review regimen for one year to prepare for the board examinations. Mr. Mendoza came from a poor family but managed to secure his future through hard work, and dedication.
He secured approval for an early retirement from Petron Corporation in December 1996, and formed Episode Industrial Supply (EIS) in August 1999 as a research and development
office specializing in environmental protection products with the intention of applying new and reliable technologies to help improve our country’s environmental protection system. The main objective of EIS is to search for the most economical and applicable products and
services that will conform to the existing demands of environmental protection, and ensure compliance of our country’s laws, rules and regulations.
He was also involved in preparing a study to set up a Waste Oil Refinery Facility in Subic, Philippines in 2002. He was also involved in the research, design and development of a carwash wastewater treatment system to treat carwash water from gasoline stations in
order to improve wastewater quality to comply with effluent regulations. This bioreactor system was installed and applied in a number of service stations of Pilipinas Shell Petroleum in the Philippines.
Arn is currently working to defend his thesis as a requirement for his masteral course in Environmental Science Ateneo De Manila University.
He is married with two children aged 21 and 14. Objective

o Assigned to cover the areas of Zamboanga, Jolo, Basilan Tawi-Tawi and Cotabato in
Mindanao; and the expanding business area of Laguna to market petroleum products and services to varying industries e.g., fishing, shipping, manufacturing, transportation, beverage and brewery, food, power generation, glass manufacturing, electronics and
semiconductor, etc. o Provided support and advice to further develop and improve operation of upstart fishing
outfits, which played a big role in the outfits’ expansion program, e.g., Zamboanga
Fishing, Fermelle Fishing. o Ensured steady supply of petroleum products to power generation barges during power
outages in the islands that assured uninterrupted power supply in affected areas in
Mindanao. o Member of the Management Inspection Team that went to Findlay, Ohio in October

reconditioning all non-performing and dilapidated pumps and put them in operation within 24 hours, while awaiting arrival of new equipment. The program was installed view of very limited equipment inventory capable to support replacement due to
equipment outage and breakdown. The task force was credited for ensuring stable product sales.
Others o Worked for the PNOC Coal Corporation (PNOC-CC) as Staff Engineer
o Supervised the bidding and awarding for the architectural services and construction of various PNOC-CC civil works projects, particularly the Bislig Coal Mine Staff Housing Project in Bislig, Surigao del Sur, and the Malangas Coal Mine Staff Housing Project in
