Currently learning Danish (module 4) and can communicate in everyday conversations. She is building her vocabulary daily and hopes to be fluent within a year. ! Speaks fluent English, as she is a native speaker. Understands and can teach English linguistics, phonetics and grammar. ! Speaks conversational Spanish and learned it while she lived abroad in Cuernavaca Mexico, receiving university credits. ! I have a Spanish minor 1 from my university. Art Education • Has a BA in Art history with Education. Has been trained in different styles of teaching Art. • Has taught for two years, one quarter of which, I have done during my practical studies in order to obtain my degree. English as a Second Language • Has experience tutoring students in lowerMincome families to learn English. • Has taught English to parents with the goal to help their children succeed in School. Most parents only spoke Spanish with very little English knowledge. • Is able to use her art classes to help children feel more confident in other disciplines such as English. Mentoring and Leading • Has been a camp leader for children and young adults with disabilities for seven summers. 1 A minor is a secondary academic discipline during the undergraduate studies.
