Such development was necessary in line with the global IT transaction/activities that are taking place in most parts of the world.

The introduction of EDI SMK Dagang Net in processing customs clearance has definitely reduced the tremendous paper transactions amongst the forwarding/commercial fraternities in this country and also the implementation of Electronic Fund Transfer has basically reduced the risk of cash transactions and allow payments to be effected electronically
