Custom Stock Status Magento 2
The extension allows you to inform your shoppers about the current stock statuses of your products.You can use variables and quantity ranges to provide clear and catchy statuses to engage yourcustomers.

General Settings
To configure the extension, go to Stores → Configuration → Amasty Extensions → Custom StockStatus.

Display Custom Stock Status for `Out of Stock` Items Only - set to Yes to display custom stockstatuses only for out of stock products. If set to No, custom stock status will be visible both for `instock` and `out of stock` items.
Display Default Stock Status with Custom Status - select Yes to display default stock status (instock\out of stock) next to a custom stock status, set to No to display only custom stock status.
Use Quantity Ranges Based Statuses Only - choose Yes if you would like to use only automatic,range based statuses.
Activate Product Groups for Quantity Range Statuses - enable this option to specify quantityrange for particular groups of products.
Use Out of Stock Threshold Value for Quantity Ranges - set to Yes to apply Out of StockThreshold Value to the quality ranged statuses.
Out of stock threshold value indicates the quantity according to which a product is considered to beout of stock. If you use a variable qty_threshold to highlight the precise quantity of the product inyour stock status, this number is calculated this way: the product quantity minus stock threshold (thequantity which triggers the out-of-stock status).
To specify out of stock threshold value, please go to Admin Panel → Catalog → Products andchoose the product. In the Advanced Inventory tab set the necessary threshold value.

Display Icon Only (No Status Text) - set this option to Yes to display only icons for stock statuses(without a text).

Expand this tab to choose whether to show custom stock statuses on:
Product list page;Shopping cart;Order Confirmation Email.

Info Link
In this tab you can place a link in a custom stock status.
Show Info Link - enable the feature to display a link below the custom stock status.
Info Link Text - input an anchor text that will be shown to customers.
CMS Page - select the necessary CMS page to direct customers to. A drop-down contains all the CMSpages that you have in the web store.

Expected Date
The Expected Date section allows you to display the date on product pages when a product will beback in stock.
Use Expected Date — switch this option to Yes to enable the expected date functionality.
Expected Date Format — choose the expected date format.
Hide Expired Expected Dates — enable this option to hide the expected dates when they expire.
When the expected date functionality is enabled, the new corresponding attribute is created. Also, theattribute will be automatically added to products.
Configurable Products
With the extension you can use custom statuses for simple options of configurable products.
Show Out of Stock Configurable Attributes:
Set to 'No, Magento logic' to make disabled and out-of-stock products crossed-out and notselectable;
Set to 'Yes, Out of stock options selectable' to make out-of-stock options selectable (not crossed-out) and disabled products crossed-out and not selectable;
Set to 'Yes, Out of stock options selectable and crossed-out' to make out-of-stock optionsselectable and crossed-out while disabled products will stay not selectable and crossed out.

Change Default Configurable Product Status - enable this option to change product statuses forconfigurable products.

Enable 'Back In Stock' Alert for Out of Stock Configurable Items - select Yes to notify userswhen the product comes back to stock.
To enable this feature, install Out of Stock Notification plugin.
Custom Stock Rules
Custom stock statuses are based on rules. To specify the quantity rules, go to Stores → Attributes →Product and select the attribute custom_stock_status_qty_rule.

In the Manage Options (values of your attribute) section of the Properties tab, create one rulefor each product group, for which you will use different levels of stock. E.g. bags_rule, watch_rule andso on. Create an unlimited number of rules via Add Option button.

Once you create the rules, proceed to custom stock statuses creation.
Custom Stock Status
To create new or edit already existing custom stock statuses, go to Admin Panel → Stores →Attributes → Products.
Select custom_stock_status attribute.

Add an Option
Navigate to the Properties tab → Manage Options (Values of Your Attribute) section.

Here you can create the necessary options for the custom stock attributes. Easily sort them via dragand drop function or delete if necessary. Use Add Option button to create a new status.
You can use different variables to generate stock statuses automatically and provide your customerswith the necessary message. Also HTML tags are allowed.
To display current product quantity in particular stock status, use {qty} variable, for example: Hurryup! Only {qty} left in stock!
Use {qty_threshold} variable to display the product quantity minus stock threshold (the numberwhich triggers the out-of-stock status of a product).
You may specify days such as {tomorrow}, {day-after-tomorrow}, {yesterday} or prices, e.g.{special_price}.
If you want to display only an icon without a text for specific statuses, but don’t want to disable textmessages for all of them, press Space button in the Default Store View field and leave it empty.

Upload an Icon
Go to the Manage Icons tab to upload noticeable images in order to draw customers’ attention.
In the Preview column you can see how the icon will be displayed on the frontend. Delete icons ifneeded just ticking them in the appropriate column.
Remember to save the attribute, otherwise icons won’t be uploaded.

Quantity Range Statuses
Expand this tab to assign the rules according to which the statuses will be displayed.
You can also use Stock Status Rule column to specify different quantity levels for the same statusesfor different groups of products. E.g. you can show the same status Running out for Product A, when ithas quantity from 1 to 5; and for Product B, when it has quantity from 1 to 100.
If you would like the statuses to be updated automatically, based on how many items of a product areleft in the inventory, please create quantity ranges and assign the necessary statuses to the ranges.
If you choose to use range based stock statuses when editing a product, the stock status will changeautomatically once the product quantity changes.
Use backorder rules to automatically assign particular stock statuses to the products.
Statuses Application
For Particular Products
To add custom statuses to simple or configurable products, go to Admin Panel → Catalog →Products. Select a product.
Navigate to the General tab and select the appropriate status for the product using Custom StockStatus dropdown, where all custom statuses are displayed.

Save the configuration.
For a Group of Products or Categories
To add custom stock statuses for multiple products, go to Admin Panel → Catalog → Products. Youmay use Filters button to find all the products you need, e.g. if you want to apply a status for the Topcategory, choose Top value in the Attribute Set filter.

Tick all the products or the necessary ones you want to add the status to. Click the Updateattributes option in the Actions dropdown menu.
