Day 1

Arrive Lima, Peru Meet your MT Sobek representative at the Lima airport and transfer to your hotel in the upscale

Miraflores district of Lima. Explore the neighborhood and enjoy dinner on your own.

Accommodation: Belmond Miraflores Park or Similar

Day 2

Experience Lima After breakfast this morning you will be met by your MT Sobek guide who will escort you on a walking tour of

Lima's historic center.

This afternoon visit the bohemian district of Barranco, where a renowned Peruvian chef will help you discover

Peru's fascinating gastronomy. Visit a local market to find the necessary ingredients for a cooking class.

Learn about the history and traditions of Peruvian cuisine, the typical ingredients, and some of the best

recipes from Lima. Enjoy a Pisco Sour and some tapas - prepared by you - before enjoying a delicious lunch

accompanied by unbeatable views of Lima's coast.

Day 3

Fly to Cusco-Sacred Valley This morning you will have a private transfer to the Lima Airport for your flight to Cusco.

Upon arrival in Cusco you will be met by your MT Sobek guide. Begin your exploration with a tour of the

Sachsayhuamán complex, a masterpiece of Inca architecture. Then, explore the Kenko temple, the military

ruins at Puca Pucará, and the ceremonial bath of Tambo Machay. Afterwards, depart for the Urubamba

Valley, known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Learn how traditional Andean textiles are made, and explore

the Pisac ruins to witness some of the finest Inca stonework in existence. Then, descend through a network of

stairs, walkways, tunnels, and temples down to the town of Pisac and visit its colorful market.

Day 4

Discover Maras, Morray and Misminay Embark on a full-day exploration of the Urubamba Valley, beginning in Moray with its impressive circular

terraces built into the top of a limestone hill. Continue on to colonial village of Maras, where one of the finest

salts in the world is extracted. Experience true Andean hospitality in the community of Misminay, where you'll

be welcomed into a home for a traditional lunch. Then, join the locals in their daily activities: you might weave

fabric using ancient techniques, help out with the crops, or even go for a donkey ride. This evening enjoy

dinner at the hotel.

Day 5

Experience the Legendary Inca Trail to Machu

Picchu Ride a classic Vistadome train up the narrowing gorge of the Urubamba River. Then, begin your half-day hike

along the Inca Trail to the lost citadel of Machu Picchu. After about 2 hours, the valley turns into a cloud-forest

canyon. After lunch, we continue steadily uphill to the jungle-bound ruins of Wiñay Wayna, then continue on

to Intipunku, the original entrance to Machu Picchu. Pause to absorb the awesome view, then take the bus

into Aguas Calientes and relax at the hotel for the rest of your day. (Optionally, skip the hike, continue by

train, and explore the Machu Picchu on your own in the afternoon.

Transportation: 1.5 hour train, 6 hours and 7 miles of hiking with 1640' elevation gain

Day 6

Explore Magical Machu Picchu Enter the awe-inspiring ruins of Machu Picchu by morning light. Take a highly informative tour of the site's

main structures and learn about their importance in the lives of the Incas. Take a challenging climb up

Machu Picchu's Old Mountain (optional) and be rewarded by breathtaking views of the citadel and the

surrounding mountains. Enjoy lunch, then return to the hotel to relax, join an excursion, or stroll the lush

gardens, including the world's largest native orchid collection with 372 species.

Day 7

Scenic Train to Cusco Today catch the Vistadome train back down to Cusco and transfer to the hotel.

After settling in to your hotel, meet your guide for a walking tour of Cusco's city center. The tour introduces

you to the Inca's former capital with its ornate cathedrals, adobe walls, carved balconies, hidden courtyards,

and cobblestone streets.

Day 8

Fly to Puerto Maldonado This morning you will have a private transfer to the Cusco Airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado.

Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, you will meet a representative from the lodge who will transfer you the

boat dock for a 25 minute scenic boat ride to the jungle lodge. Your journey will take you to the heart of the

Tambopata National Reserve, where you will experience the magnificent beauty, sounds, scents, colors

and solitude of Peru's Amazon rainforest.

Transportation: 1 hour flight, 25 minute boat transfer

Day 9

Tambopata National Reserve Today you will have a full day for inclusive guided activities at the lodge. Observe the sight, sounds and

wildlife of the Amazon rainforest and get a first-hand look inside this hidden world. Some optional excursions

for today are a guided hike, scenic boat rides, nature walks, bird watching and canopy walks.

Lima This morning you will return to Puerto Maldonado by boat and transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima.

Upon arrival in Lima, connect on your homebound flight.

The Belmond Miraflores Park is located in Miraflores, one of Lima's most fashionable neighborhoods. The luxury hotel combines

Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba

This Inkaterra property is a modern, hacienda-style hotel set on 100 acres in the countryside between Cusco and Machu Picchu. With

only 12 rooms and 24 casitas, guests can experience solitude, space, and serenity while taking in breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley.

The hotel's architecture and interiors reflect the region's cultural history, with colonial furniture, Inca masks, and handcrafted woodwork

Housed in a 500-year old mansion, the exquisite Palacio del Inka is located in the historic center of Cusco, just a five-minute walk from the

Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción is located deep within the heart of the Amazon between the Tambopata National Reserve and the banks

of the Madre de Dios River. The property features 25 private cabanas sitting majestically on stilts with high ceilings and a rustic thatched

roofs. Each cabana features a private bathroom with hot water, luxurious linens, a mosquito net, natural toiletries, reading lights, a ceiling

fan and limited electricity. Guided group activities and all meals are included in the stay.

Total Trip Price From: $9,590.00 ($4,795.00 per person, based on double occupancy). A 25% non-refundable deposit is

due upon acceptance of services. Final payment is due 95 days prior to departure.
