A photopolymer sign is made from plastic

that is permanently bonded to a substrate as one piece.

The raised letters and braille portion of the sign is 1/32” to meet the ADA Specifications.

Then Matthews acrylic polyurethane paint is applied on photopolymer.

The raised portion of the sign is then silk screened in a contrasting color to produce

the finished sign.

Most photopolymer signs are 1/32, 1/16, 1/8” or 1/4” thick.

However other thicknesses are achieved by adding a acrylic backer to achieve the

thickness desired. Photopolymer signs are available with square or rounded corners and

can be special shaped if needed.

The ADA applique sign is made from a plastic substrate (thickness as desired;

1/16 - 1/8 -3/16 - 1/4”) that has laser cut 1/32” thick

applique letters attached to the plastic with thin double faced tape.

The substrate and/or lettering can be custom painted in any custom color.

The braille is done by engraving or drilling small holes in the background and

then have small rasters (balls) inserted into the holes.

This creates a beautiful finish and smooth feeling to the touch.

This method is the most cost effective available for ADA Signs.
