I have been invited to provide “master classes” at PhD training events in Kindrogen (Scotland), Venice (Italy), Oulu (Finland), Roskilde (Denmark), Amsterdam and Nijmegen (Netherlands), Cork and Limerick (Ireland), Oslo and Tromso (Norway). I have been an invited commentator for two postdoctoral scholars (at Yale and Rice Universities). In addition my work in mobility led to me being awarded the first Swiss Visiting Chair in Mobility Studies at the University of Neuchâtel, in 2008. Here my role was to help build capacity in mobility studies in Switzerland including the provision of 12 PhD places in work related to mobility.
