His research activities in this field cover gynaecological infections and oro-facial infections. Presently, his group research focus is on chronic otitis media; investigating the spectrum of anaerobic organisms involved in this clinical condition and evaluating different therapeutic options especially the use of new generation antibiotics. He is also focusing on development of local diet and food drinks from a variety of food crops through microbial

fermentation. This new focus has resulted in the development of agro-based research products for which patents have been granted. He is the coordinator of the Covenant University Research/Demonstration Pawpaw Farm referred to as the Pawpaw Project to mass cultivate special hybrids of pawpaw suitable for use in pawpaw beverage production. His research cluster is applying biotechnological tools in advancing agricultural productivity. These research efforts are geared towards improved health care delivery and sustainable food production. He is Leader of the Biotechnology research cluster in Covenant University and was the pioneer Chairman of a six member Committee of the Covenant University Farm engaged in extensive agricultural productivity on 450 ha land space with major focus on oil palm, plantain and maize cultivation.
