Scholarship and Research

1. The Graduate PhD Research Work at Tshwane University of Technology focused on “Information

Security Management guidelines for mobile money systems in Uganda”. The study developed a

framework for management of information security for mobile money systems in emerging

economies taking a case study of Uganda. The study contributed to body of a knowledge by

introducing management aspect in information security of mobile money systems unlike previous

studies that focused only on technical solutions. Technical tools alone cannot fully solve information

security problem in mobile money systems. Additionally the developed framework developed offers

a yardstick to mobile money service providers for measuring the effectiveness of information

security management for mobile money systems. The study also identified Activity Theory as the

most ideal theory for studying information security management in form of activities.

2. The Masters Project in Information Technology at Makerere University was about blood donation

information management in Uganda, taking a case study of Nakasero Blood Bank and Uganda Red

Cross. The project was part of the course undertaken in 2009.

3. My Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science Project at Makerere University (2001) focused on

patience medical records management in Uganda. The project was part of the course taken.
