X. Special Assignment: Quality in Higher Education 1. September 2007- April 2008: Headed All Programmes Evaluation (APEC) at AKU-SoN.
In addition to the extensive administrative nature of this responsibility, two important
documents: criteria and Standards for the evaluation of AKU-SON programmes, and the
curriculum handbook were the outcomes of this process.
2. Other opportunities and assignments related to assessment and evaluation include:
April 2008: appointed to represent AKU-SON on a taskforce and was assigned to
prepare a feasibility report for the establishment of a quality enhancement cell at
AKU.
Sept-October 2008: Appointed member for the internal evaluation team for PDC
Chitral
November, 2009 to Jan 18, 2010: Appointed for the investigation team for high failure
rate in the ANS Programme in Nairobi, East Africa.
February 2010: conducted a baseline assessment of the quality initiatives at AKU-
SON.
September 2011: lead person for the MScN accreditation by Pakistan Nursing
