Goals and Philosophy
Emphasize information and communication technology integration into standards-based curriculum lessons
Showcase all students and staff entries in as many venues as possible at three different educational levels Local School District Superintendent’s Office (DSO) Pacific Director’s Office (PDO)
Guidelines
Projects must be based on DoDEA curriculum standards
Entries must be created using DoDEA supported software and hardware
Students and staff members may submit entries Sullivans is allowed 6 entries (800 students or
more)
Original Work
“Hands-off" approach from parents and teachers regarding student submitted work
Encourage Student / Staff Original Work All sources must be cited
Six Entries to the PDO
Single entries: staff or student Group entries: two or more students Group
entries include: class, club, or team projects
School Level Showcase Ideas
School INTRANET - done! School Curriculum Technology Showcase
Evening (community may be invited) School meetings and trainings School-wide broadcast of morning
announcements or newscasts Other school communication outlets
DSO Level Showcase Ideas
DSO INTRANET At meetings, conferences, and trainings Showcase to visitors as they visit a DSO briefing Other communication outlets
PDO Level Showcase Ideas

Selection Process
Application submitted by teacher provided by the PDO
TILT and Techno Infusion teams meet to select the top six entries
Selection based on rubric provided by the PDO
Certificates
School level provide: A “Certificate of Participation” signed by the school Principal
Template will be provided by the PDO to the school or designed by Mr. Wilhoit
DSO level provide: A “Certificate of Merit” signed by the District Superintendent
Template will be provided by the PDO to each DSO
PDO level provide A “Certificate of Merit” signed by DoDDS Pacific DDESS
Guam Director Signed and completed certificates will be sent from the PDO to the showcased ‘authors’ via the school mail
“Showcase” at Sullivans Intranet- Dolphinet: This is occurring SSN Tech Fest Night Awards Ceremony during School Day Opener for faculty Meeting: May / June Article in the “Starlight Express” Communications POC submit article to the “Seahawk”
or “Sensei” Article provided by the submitting teacher in collaboration
with the ET PTO General Meeting
Tech Fest Night Possibility
Opener: 15 Minutes: Lobby PTO / Voluntary Teachers serve finger foods, drinks, and light
snacks
45 minutes (session 1) Awards Ceremony: MPR Principal hands out certificates Awarded students present their technology projects at the
Ceremony to the audience POC invites the press to attend for press coverage of the event
45 minutes (session 2): B Building Voluntary teachers host technology curriculum activities in
the classrooms
Technology Curriculum Activities Technology activities include:
any technology related activity the teacher is comfortable doing with students
Interactive website such as StarFall, NLVM, Illuminations, KidsGraph
Software Stations: Any software used at School including the Smartboard
