Create a bulletin board with the theme of a captain to be referenced throughout the chapter. 1. Utilize a place value kit and pocket chart to demonstrate concepts as they are introduced throughout the chapter for extra practice. 2. Read aloud an introduction to the theme character. 3. Assign worktext pages as new concepts are introduced to practice skills throughout the chapter. 4.
