Completed research for a U.S. Geological Survey grant to investigate molybdenum in Arizona (with Stanley B. Keith, Principal Investigator, 1979-1980). Punctually and satisfactorily complied with
government requirements in grant reports, so that the grantor was satisfied with the quarterly reports
and with the final reports and publication. The USGS subsequently granted further research projects
to the state geological survey.
Researched and wrote reports on the geology of uranium occurrences in Arizona for a U.S. Geological Survey grant to investigate uranium in Tertiary rocks in Arizona (Dr. H. Wesley Pierce,
P.I.. 1978-1979). Researched geologic issues and efficiently evaluated large amounts of geologic
information and effectively communicated research results in bulletins and U.S. Geological Survey
open-file reports [see publication list].
Produced, on time, one bulletin or open-file report per year, plus numerous short articles. General responsibilities also included responding to questions from the public about geologic matters, giving
talks to non-geologic groups, writing non-technical items dealing with Arizona geology, preparing
