Almost one in 10 Americans has a history of impulsive and angry behavior and ready access to guns, new research indicates. The normal brain disorders that usually prevent a person from purchasing and owning a gun such as bipolar disease or schizophrenia actually only account for about 4% of U.S. gun related violence. Theres actually a much bigger psychological disorder thats common in a majority of people that has lead to more domestic violence inside the home with gun whether it be homicide, suicide, or accident. This mental disorder is actually anger issues, which appear in about 1 in 10 Americans. A study of about 5,600 people showed that about 9% of them had anger issues and owned a gun with about 2% of them carrying the gun with them outside the house. The test included asking questions about their anger and then did diagnostic test on the participants to test them on normal psychological disorders that lead to anger such as anxiety and personality disorder and then were asked about their gun ownership and use of the gun. Some are hoping that this will lead to background checks that include reports of violence in cars or getting into fights repeatedly. The reason anger is so worrisome is because there are constant flare ups that usually happen in social situations that can lead to violence.

I would classify this as social-cultural because anger is a problem very prominent in Americans because the cultures impatience and also their opinion on gun control. The idea of gun laws and basically the topic of the article is a major argument in America right now about what measures should be taken to prevent the domestic violence involving guns in a household.

The author seemed to stay unbiased through out the entirety of the article. He started off by giving information about the topic and how gun control is regulated in America based of disease and then went on to mention that the most prominent of all mental disorders in=s not one we classify as something that stops someone from getting a gun. He then quotes peoples opinions on gun control and what they feel should be done about the upsurge of domestic violence involving anger issues, guns, and domestic violence. He then describes what the actual experiment is. The experiment could have been inefficient just because it was survey style with some diagnostic test so people could have lied to make themselves look better. The authors bias came in with a question at the end about taking away the 2nd Amendment from Americans who are juts angry.
