Curiosity Killed The Bastards

[A group of four walks down a street after a night out. Draz suggests that they all

visit their old school, which closed down five years ago. It now houses vermin and

the occasional bird poop. ]

SCENE 1

Draz: Oi, geezas, we should go visit our old shithole of a school.

Carter: Why the fuck would we want to go and do that?

Draz: Cause I said so. Problem?

[Elias cuts in]

Elias: Alright, calm down. Would be cool to go see how its gone downhill sincewe left?

Carter: I dont know if I want to.

Karmen: Me neither, its been closed down for a reason.

Elias: Just come, itll be a quick tour, dont you want to remember thegood olddays? Itll be a laugh!

[Carter and Karmen give the approving nod to Elias. Draz is standing staring at the

gate]

Good. Dont worry Carter; Ill protect you and Karmen.

Carter: Why would we need protecting?

[Gives Elias a dirty look and points to Draz]

Why dont you stick to protecting your dick friend, we can handle our own shit.

[Elias is about to respond till he sees Draz trying to climb over the gate]

Elias: Oi, mate. Why dont you wait for us, instead of trying to kill yourself?

Draz: Hurry up then.

[They all climb over the gate, Elias helps Karmen get over, and tries to help Carter

but she refuses. Carter steps on something, she doesnt look to see what it is and

carries on walking down]

SCENE 2

[They take a tour around the school. Draz sees a woman from the Woodend

building staring at him, as he blinks and rubs his eyes, the woman disappears from

his sight, he ignores it]

Elias: Guys, we should play hide and seek for jokes.

Draz: That would be funny still,

[Looks at Carter and Karmen]

you wastemans up for it?

Carter: The only wasteman I know is the bitch that gave birth to you.

[Elias cuts in]

Elias: Leave it, you guys up for it or not?

Karmen: Well, I think it would be fun!

[Giggles and looks at Carter, who gives the disapproving face]

Come on Carter, we always wanted to do hide and seek when there was no oneelse aroundyou know you want too.

Carter: Fine. Draz?

[Draz looks at Carter]

Draz: Ye?

Carter: Youre on, wasteman.

[Elias, Carter and Karmen scurry off quickly. Elias finds his hiding place first. Then

its Carter. Karmen runs into the Woodend building and is faced with a scare of her

life.]

Scene 3

[Karmen runs into Woodend, while laughing and looking back to see if any of the

others are following her, suddenly she bangs into something with force and falls

backwards, she looks up and sees Nazhedas blank face staring at her, she stays

silent for a couple of seconds and starts to scream while closing her eyes and runsout]

Carter: Karmen?!

[Carter runs out of her hiding spot and runs towards the screams, shes met up with

Draz and Elias and they are all looking round in one spot attempting to see where

the scream came from.]

Where the fuck is she?

[Karmen comes out of the building still screaming, she sees the group of three and

runs towards them and falls into Elias arms]

Elias: Whats happened Karmen?

[Karmen is not speaking due to shock]

Carter: Tell me whats going on Karmen.

[Karmen releases Elias and is struggling to speak to the group]

Karmen: There was someonein there.

[Draz, Carter and Elias all look at each other]

Draz: You sure you just didnt see your shadow and freak out?

Karmen: NO. I ran straight into her and she just stared at me. Im know what IsawI know it. I know it.

[Karmen puts her face in her hands and sobs]

We need to leave now; I knew coming here was a bad idea.

Elias: Just calm down Karmen,

Well leave now, alright?

[Draz cuts in]

Draz: What they look like? Ill go bang em out and that.

Carter: Shut up. You cant do shit.

[Looks Draz up and down]

Were leaving now.

Draz: Youre in need of a slap, dont be talking to me like that you filthy cunt.

[Elias, and Karmen start to walk away from Woodend, Elias grabs Carters arm

before she can respond and pulls her away and whispers to her, she shrugs him off,

Draz faces Woodend, and starts to shout at the building]

Elias, where you going? Youre meant to stick by me, remember.

Elias: Getting out, come on Draz.

[Draz gives Elias a look and turns his back on him]

Draz: We know youre in there, BITCH.

Id come out now if I were you.

COME OUT NOW. WHORE.

[Carter and Elias roll their eyes and walk back towards Draz to calm him down.]

Elias: DRAZ! Will you just leave it, please?

For the life of God, can we just-

[Elias sees Nazheda staring out of the window]

Oh, fuck.

I just saw something.

[Draz looks in Eliass line of sight, and runs into the building. Elias runs after him,

Carter and Karmen sees them run off]

Carter: Come on, Karmen.

[Carter runs after Elias and Draz, Karmen pauses and runs after them a little,

before deciding shes fine where she is.]

Scene 4

[Carter runs into the room and finds Draz standing in there looking around, she

looks outside the door for Elias and comes back in]

Carter: Wheres Elias?

Draz: Aint he outside?

Carter: No, he followed you.

[Both Draz and Carter look worried]

Draz: Hes probably gone into the wrong room like a knob, lets go find him.

[Carter and Draz search for Elias together throughout the building, they both start

to get worried when they cant find him, Draz goesinto one classroom to check.

Carter walks down the corridor and sees something odd, she walks over to it and

picks it up. Draz comes out of the classroom and sees Carter with an item in her

hand.]

Draz: Whats that?

[Carter remains silent and stares the item. Draz walks over to her annoyed, and

looks at her hand, he stands still for a second and runs into the classroom next to

where the item was found. The camera stays on Carter.]

Elias?! Elias?!

Where the fuck are you?

[We now see the item that Carter was staring at, while Draz is screaming, she picks

it up and fiddles with it. It is the necklace that Elias wore, it seems to have a red

mark on it. Draz comes out of the classroom and grabs it out of her hand. He starts

to walk out of the door.]

Were going to find this bitch, and were going to kill her.

Carter: [Whispers]

Yes, we are.

Scene 5

[We see Elias and Nazheda in a room together, its locked from the outside. He is

unconscious, she walks over to him and runs her hand down his face, and we see his

face twitch a little. She whispers something into his ears and smiles. His eyes then

dramatically open up.

Carter and Draz meet up with Karmen outside of the building.]

Karmen: Where is Elias?

[She gets no reply from either of them. She looks angered by their no response but

then she realises whats happened]

Oh God, she has him. She has him. [Panicked] We should of left. We should of-

[Looks at Draz]

This is all your fault, Draz. If we didnt listen to you, we wouldnt be in this mess.Elias would be here. Fine. Alive. Well. Amazing. Great. Brilli-

[Draz cuts in]

Draz: Can your whiney ass, shut the fuck up? Im sick of your talk, and Im sick of

your breathing. You can stand there and cry, or you can help us find him.

[Carter moves closer to Draz.]

If Im lucky, she might be willing to negotiate and swap him for you.

Karmen: Carter! Are you going to let him talk to me like that ?!

[Carter looks away from Karmen. ]

Fine. Ill help. But not for either of you, for him.

Draz: kk, lets go.

Scene 6

[We see the trio walk into the building, they look into every room together and

have no luck. However, Karmen then hears a noise and they go to investigate]

Carter: I think we should just call the police, Im starting to get freaked out.

Karmen: Me too.

Draz: Fine.

[Looks at Karmen]

Here, take my phone. You go and ring the police.

[Karmen walks out of the door. Carter follows Karmen and notices Draz not moving

and she stops]

Carter: We need to leave Draz, it could be any of us next.

Draz: Listen, Im not leaving without him. He could still be fine, so instead of

wasting time conversing, Im going to look for him.

Carter: Fine. You stay, Karmen and me are leaving.

[Carter walks out of the door and calls out to Karmen while doing so]

Karmen, come on were leaving.

[She hears no response]

Oh for fuck sake, dont shit me up, where are you?

[She runs around and sees the phone on the ground]

[Screams]

DRAZ! DRAZ! DRAZ!

[Draz runs out of the building towards Carter. He picks up the phone and checks it]

Draz: No phone call made.

[Draz looks up at building, the light is turned on. He sees Elias and Karmen

standing next to Nazheda]

The lights are on, how is that possible-

Carter: Were leaving, now!

[Drazs brotherly love for Elias is his ultimate doom, as he goes back in for Elias. As

soon as he walks back in, we hear shout and a scream from Draz. He is now

standing Elias, Karmen and Nazheda. ]

Fucking idiot.

[Carter runs towards exit. As soon as she reaches the entrance, we see Nazheda is

standing at the gate. She smiles.]
