The Curborough Campsite will openat 1400 on Thursday 18 August.The Test Days will be held all day Friday19 August and the morning of Saturday20 August. There will be an Auto-Test onSaturday afternoon and of course theSprinting all day Sunday 21 August.How to get there: OS Map grid reference is:SK 13401280 on OS Map 128. Otherwiseuse any good road map. Make for theA38 between Lichfield and Derby. Turnwest off the A38 at Fradley Park Junction.This is Wood End Lane. About 1 mile fromthe junction take the first exit off theroundabout (Tesco Distribution Centre onthe right) then after about 300 yards turnleft into Netherstowe Lane (no road nameis shown). The entrance to CurboroughCircuit is about 150 yards on the right.Alternatively, enter Wood End Lane fromthe west off the A515.

See the maps on the previous page.All the following prices are the same as lastyear’s prices for the event.The advance programme price of £8 entryper car includes all occupants formembers and their guests to the site forthe entire weekend. It is cheaper to bookin advance, as if you attend withoutobtaining an advance programme it willbe £10 PER PERSON at the gate.One ADVANCE PROGRAMME admitseveryone accompanied by a Member inone car into Curborough for the wholeweekend for a better rate than theon-the-gate entry price of £10 per personwithout an advance programme.All non-members pay £10 PER PERSON.The cost of the camping is £15 per night(with Sunday night £5). Be sure to ordera programme for £8 when booking.

Dogs are not allowed at Curborough.

Camping prices are as follows:£15 (non-members £20) for Thursday night;£15 (non-members £20) for Friday night;£15 (non-members £20) for Saturday night;£ 5 (non-members £10) for Sunday night.Please indicate on the booking form if youwant to use a generator. Generators mayonly be run between 0900 and 1800.Auto-jumble/trade pitches are £25 perpitch (non-members £40) for the wholeweekend. Camping tickets also requiredeven if camping on your trade pitch.All bookings need to include £8 for anadvance programme. There is a £1booking fee for all bookings to cover P&P.Please support our main event; Curboroughis STILL the event to attend to see theSprint Cars in action and get bargains fromClub Traders and Auto-jumble stalls!Friday’s Test Day is not open to the public.Friday evening in the Marquee for fun anda quiz for all and it is still free, but pleaseenter numbers on the booking form astickets will be issued so that we knowattendance numbers in advance.North London Dyno will be in attendance onSaturday and Sunday for rolling road power runswith print-out and gentle set-up of your cars.Saturday morning is a ‘Track Test Day’.Saturday between 1215 & 1245 experiencea ride around the Curborough track with oneof the experienced competitors.Saturday afternoon is the Autotest andthe cost per entry is only £20 this year,but we need more entries to make it pay!Saturday evening sees the return of KevinOsborne with his new band ‘The BiggDoggs’ in the marquee. The theme thisyear is ‘Around The World’. Entry has beenkept the same as last year at £8 per personfor ages 16 and over; under 16 still free.Sunday is our round of the ‘Scimitar &Sabre Speed Championship’ with practiceruns in the morning and timed runs in theafternoon, plus the Concours competitionand other activities and exhibits in andaround the marquee.

As in previous years we will be providingopportunities for Club Members to drivetheir cars on the Curborough Sprint Circuitover the National Weekend in August.Morning or afternoon half-day sessions ora full-day session on Friday 19 August anda half-day morning session on Saturday20 August can be booked. Please note that,by popular demand, the track test days areagain all day Friday and Saturday morning.This is a chance to try out your car off thepublic road if wish to extend yourself andyour car in a suitable environment orperhaps see if competitive motor sport isfor you; most competitors started like this.Experienced competitors will be availableto help and advise if required.A number of current competitors use thedays to ‘warm-up’ for the Sprint proper onSunday, so this can be worth watching!

Runs of both single and double laps will beavailable and runs will be timed.Wearing of helmets is mandatory and atleast one ‘spare’ will be available.Cost is £40 for any of the three half-daysor £70 for the Friday full-day. Two personscan share driving a car, but each person willneed to book and pay.There is no booking form for the Track TestDays, so to book any of the sessions, or ifyou have any questions, please contactme at: [email protected] on: 01527 63786Our Test days last year proved verysuccessful, so if interested please contactme to book your place in plenty of time.

Our sprint can not run without marshals.

We need volunteers to help with therunning of the event.

You do not need any experience and all thetraining and kit you need is provided.

It is the nearest you will get to motorsportwithout getting in a car.

To Volunteer for an hour on the gate pleaseadd your name to the list in the Marquee.

To Volunteer for other things please makeyourself known to any of the Committee

in or around the Marquee.

There are lots of jobs to do, for example:● Setting up and breaking down the campsite;● On the gate checking programme passes, collecting

entrance fees and directing people where to park;● Car Parking helpers to direct Scimitars and Sabres to their

parking areas and other cars to the general car park;● Setting out tables and chairs and stacking them away at

required times;● Autotest and Sprint Marshals;● Emptying the bins all around the site;● Keeping the toilets and showers clean and tidy and

well stocked with consumables.

We need volunteers to help with the runningof the event over the whole weekend.

Most of the things above would not take up too much of yourtime and would leave plenty of time to enjoy the weekend.
