Cumulative learning is lacking
Numerous green corridor projects has been launched during recent years, financed by i.e. Interreg, FP 7, TEN-T etc.
Great results have been reached but no long-term commitment in further maintenance and daily improvement is missing
Thus, a lack of cumulative learning are seen where recent results are not fully utilised in future work
The Green Corridor Portal
Based on the lack in a joint dissemination arena for findings and results the idea is to launch an ”unbranded” Green Corridor Portal – a toolbox – disseminating results on green corridor development.
The portal would help securing the long term viability of the portal by the creation of a concrete business plan
Flavour of comments
“Green Corridor Portal is a very good initiative. It is today very difficult to communicate on a European Level as to avoid sub-optimisation on national or regional levels. We need to bring in even more state-of-the-art projects in the corridor to reach excellence.”
“Innovating the transport system needs to be addressed by new standards.”
“As soon as you are shifting between two countries, the interoperation compatibility is lacking. This is the main question that needs to be acted upon.”
“How to find relevant and to-the-point KPI’s combined with efficient data capturing”
“How do we get the large elephants with us? We have a lot of good examples but we are not able to communicate the results…”
“Google crowd-sources speed, lead time etc., and shippers from sources data from different databases. Is this something data can be included in the Portal.”
“A very useful tool going forward in the implementation of Transport Corridors. It’s all about avoiding crash-landing results from previous
projects and to share data and good-examples.”

News & Objectives
Provides corridor specific news and information for the 9 TEN-T Core Network Corridors. Furthermore, additional corridors are gathered in the portal to showcase current development in the TEN-T Network

Status & progress KPI’s & Baselines
Built on the generic Green Corridor Development Plan of the SWIFTLY Green
Project
Stakes out the baseline upon which KPI’s for corridor development derived from
projects such as Supergreen, EWTC II etc. are used

Total transport cost assessment
Enables users of the corridor to calculate and assess their total transport cost (per shipment of transport flow) including total socioeconomic costs.
All figures are assessed and recalculated into EUR (i.e. NoX = X EUR)

Optimise your corridor route
Utilising corridor route planning tools, (i.e. the Green Corridor Visibility
Planner developed within SWIFTLY Green), shippers can plan their
logistics setups based on the most cost-efficient and greenest transport
options.
Combined transport schedules, tariffs and environmental data to calculate
the best option(s)

Measures to improve
Based on the search engine (Replica Corridor Tool) developed within the SWIFTLY Green project, users are able to perform a multi-criteria search for measures or combination of measures assessed by the level of:
-Marketability-Corridor Scope-Greening Perspective
The database can be browsed and additional good examples can be uploaded to increase the number of projects
GREEN CORRIDOR PORTALEuropean Commission
GREEN CORRIDOR PORTALEuropean CommissionReports & References
A library service that can include reports on a general level from the EC and/or other institutions
for the development of Green Corridors.
The library service provides possibilities for the user to upload additional material keeping the
database up-to-date

A similar portal – On the MoS way - has been developed for projects financed by the EC TEN-T Motorways of the Sea Programme providing:
-Overall news and information on events within transport/shipping/ports-Current and completed MoS projects-Training and knowledge centre
etc…

Vem har ansvaret efter 2015 för portalens utveckling?Enligt Magnus förslag:
”Portal operation and maintenance costs needs to be further analysed and developed linked to a business plan. Factors that needs to be considered includes;
-Administration and updates
-Administration interface
-Tools updates, maintenance and development
-Software licences and updates
-Server costs
-Interface improvements and adjustments”
