What is DCA…

• Disney Comes Alive is an app that allows users to interact with Disney characters personally within the grounds of Disney Land

Features

• Camera app that shows live Disney characters on your smart device

• Involves a Map of Disney Land• Real-time locations of Disney

characters on the Map

What do the characters do

• Pose, talk, walk, etc. (Some fly ex. Tinker bell, Aladin)

• Talk to other characters• Fight, hug each other• Sing songs

– Characters move around the map– Real-time movie

Cultural Probe

• Camera– Fun, Interesting monuments, food, people, parade– Favorite/ least favorite place to rest– Favorite/ least favorite place in general

• Survey questions– Which movie/character is your favorite– Which scene did you like the best– Which songs – What kind of food did you eat– What do you want to ask your favorite character

• Create your own story– Multiple choice questions(fill in the blank)– Make a fan-fiction – Creating a story and see that story become live

Expectations

• Waiting in line is more fun• Interesting experience for everyone• Each user has different video clips of

their favorite characters.

• More fun with google glasses, oculus rift like devices.
