It was an interesting event where the students showcased different innovative ideas. The judges for the event were A student delegation from Don Bosco University, Assam visited the AIM campus on 4 October, 2018 as a part of cultural exchange programme. The students from Assam interacted with the students of AIM and exchanged insights on how floods are handled in both the states and the type of trainings that need to be made part of the educational system to deal with floods effectively. The students also performed traditional dance forms and songs which resonated the rich cultural heritage of the respective states. The exchange programme provided a unique and fruitful learning experience outside the limits of a classroom and the students developed a better understanding of the diversity in culture and appreciation for each other's culture, thereby strengthening the relationship between the two schools and the two states. Mr. Jose Kurian Mudakkal, Deputy General Manager (Projects), KSIDC and Dr. Jitha G. Nair, Asst. Profesor, AIM who appreciated the innovative thoughts of the students. Open House @ AIM A n open House for Sem.1 students were organized on 20 October, 2018. During the programmme, Dr. Geo Jos Fernandez, Dean, AIM apprised the parents about the major events at AIM during the past 6 months. Later the parents interacted with the faculty members to share their concerns and aspirations about their wards. A Visit to INS Vilramaditya S tudents of Sem.1 accompanied by faculty members Dr. Shiny C. M. and Mr. Nidhin Johny got an opportunity to visit INS Vikramaditya on 12 October, 2018. The students were shown around the entire ship including the flight deck. They also got an opportunity to see and understand the various armaments carried by India's flagship aircraft carrier. Industrial Visit S em. 1 students visited WFB Baird & Company India Private Limited - Manufacturer of formal wear, party wear & poly linen fabric in Kakkanad on 11 October, 2018. The students got an opportunity to observe the nuances of fabric industry in real time. The students were accompanied by faculty members Ms. Manju Das and Mr. Nidhin Johny. Institute News D r. Nair were invited for a delegate visit to Synthite Industries Pvt. Ltd. on 26 October, 2018. The delegates were acquainted with the intricate processes involved in the manufacturing processes of Oleoresins and their latest project of cultivating high yielding Cocoa and Vanilla using advances technologies.

Chai Friday @ AIM

Chai Friday @ AIM is a novel initiative beingshowcased by the Albertian Institute of

Management on alternate Fridays of every month.It is a platform to understand the experiences of themost eminent and reputed professionals from variousindustries over a cup of Tea, providing the studentsan opportunity to interact with them.

The inaugural edition of Chai Fridayheld on12 October, 2018 had two esteemed guests, Mr.Rajesh Abraham Deputy Bureau Chief (Kerala) at The

New Indian Express and Ms. Reshmi C. R. JGM &Head, Corporate Communications at Kochi Metro RailLtd.

The next edition held on 26 October, 2018 wasgraced by Mr. T. P. Rajesh, Program Head, AIR and RJJeena Mariya of AIR. The programme serves as avenue for students to understand the requirementsof the competitive corporate world so as to prepareaccordingly.

The eminent guests shared their experiences andexpectations relating to the corporate world whichinstilled new thoughts into the minds of the youngfuture managers. These are indeed highly interactivesessions and the guests patiently responded to themultitude of queries from the students. It was indeedan innovative experience for the Albertians.

Albertian Institute of Management had thehonour of welcoming Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Prashar,

a Well acknowledged Marketing Professor of IIMRaipur as a resource person for a lecture on 'LearningMarketing 101 from the Marketing Leaders on 6October, 2018. He highlighted the constant changes

happening in the market world and the need to becontinuously updated in order to survive and succeedin this world of cut-throat competition. Interactionwith such an eminent personality was an enrichingexperience for the students.

Breast Cancer Awareness Programme

October is designated as Breast Cancer AwarenessMonth, a worldwide annual campaign involving

thousands of organisations, to highlight theimportance of breast cancer awareness, educationand research. During this month, the aim to get asmany people as possible involved in raising awareness

and funuds for breast cancer research. Students ofAIM participated in a session by Dr. Michelle AlineAntony, Senior Consultant-OBG $ GynecologyOncology, organized by Department of Social work inassociation with Rajagiri Hospital on 4 October, 2018to gain more awareness on this pressing issue.

On 8 October,2018,Mr. Pradeep Chandrashekar,CEO, Finmark delivered a lecture on financial

He shared his experiences and spokeon the skills that a recruiter looks for in a candidate.He also spoke on the need to have clear knowledgeof the fundamental concepts so as to apply them inreal time situations during one's work-life and of theneed for strong communication skills to succeed inthe dynamic business world.
