  • East Sussex Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) population statistics (ESiF - 2011)

    Overall population in East Sussex 526,671, of which 8.4% BME people

    The largest population after White British was White Other at 4.4%(including White Irish & GRT),Asian or Asian British at 1.7%, Mixed at 1.4%,Black or Black British at 0.6%, Other at 0.3%.

    The largest BME population in Eastbourne at 12.6%, of which White Other 6.7%.

    Hastings 10.8% of which Black, Asian, mixed and other ethnic group 6.3%. Lewes 7.5% of which White Other 4.1%
