Do not use BCAPL, USAPL, BCA Pool, USA Pool, BCA Pool League or USA Pool League alone. These names names would confuse readers thinking your page was the national office page. We will be adding this policy to our BCAPL league operator and USAPL league manager manuals.

Hi Bill, I was playing 8-Ball in league last week and this situation came up. I had ball-in-hand, and was deciding what to do when I dropped the cue ball accidentally into the side pocket. Jeff, theguy I was playing said that it was a foul and he gets ball-in-hand.I told him no way, because the cue ball did not touch anything.WWhat is the ruling?Thanks, Bart
Good Question Bart, It is not a foul and you still have ball-in-hand. In Applied Rulings in TheOfficial Rules of the BCA Pool League it states that it is still ball-in-handif you drop the cue ball in to a pocket. However, if you drop tbe cueball and it touches a ball on the table, it is then ball-in-hand for youropponent.HHave a great season!Bill
