CUBIT is able to test the territorial coverage of wireless systems (Radio LAN, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, RFID), the net throughput capacity, the quality of services and the net handover capacity: • COVERAGE – measurement of territorial coverage by analysing the parameters of the received signal, namely RSSI (Received Signal Strength Index) and CINR (Carrier to Interference + Noise Ratio) • CAPACITY – measurement of maximum throughput provided by the system, both downlink and uplink • RADIO – measure of the radio capacity of the system, according to the following parameters: MIMO performance, MRC, Max output power, RSSI, CINR • QUALITY OF SERVICES – VoIP services, videoconference, video streaming, FTP (File Transfer Protocol), UDP (User Datagram Protocol). The quality of service is assessed according to MOS (Mean Opinion Score) and PESQ (Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality) • HANDOVER SERVICE – Testing of handover capacity of the system, especially the out of service time during the handover.
Measurements on Wireless systems
Mobile Laboratory
CUBIT mobile lab carries out all Radiofrequency measurements concerning outdoor transmitters and antennas, performed directly on the installation site or at the Client.
Measurements
• Measurement of electrosmog produced by Radiofrequency transmitters (10kHz - 300GHz), such as fixed telecommunication or Radio and TV systems, as stated by DPCM July 8th, 2003 and in the CEI 211-7 guide. • Measurement of background noise, and of broadband and narrowband emissions. • Analysis of risk exposure, due to magnetic fields, personnel is subjected to, as stated in DLGS n.257 of November 19th, 2007 and in DLGS 81/08. • Specific measurements upon the Client’s request.
Hardware & Firmware design
CUBIT is able to manage all the Hardware and Firmware phases: starting from feasibility studies to defining design specifications, up to the realization of circuit schematics and card design.
Preliminary study phase: feasibility tests and search of the suitable components for the realization of the project Design of electronic diagram and PCB layout following design rules allowing to avoid emission problems and electromagnetic compatibility Testing phase: card testing, verification of the electromagnetic emissions and CE certification
