LARGE HEADThis provides double the bearing area compared to the dome head and offers a great resistance. They are designed for applications where a soft or brittle material is assembled to a rigid support material.

This is the most versatile type of head. It provides enough bearing surface to retain all kinds of materials, except those extremely smooth and brittle.

Blind Rivet

This type of head allows the riveting of a bigger thickness. It´s designed to appear as a flat surface, flush with application.

RIVETED STRENGTH PROCESSSTRENGTH

1. Put the rivet into the nosepiece and insert it into the hole.

2. Push the trigger of the tool so the mandrel enters into the rivet head. The hole is completely filled and the mandrel ejects.

3. The rivet is firmly applied. When finished the tool uses compressed air to expel the mandrel into the mandrel catcher.

BLIND RIVETS: A rivet is a fastening system designed to join two pieces of material, whether of the same or different materials, especially in applications where only one side is accessible. Bralo rivets provide a safe and resistant solution to many fastening problems. They have been designed to satisfy the highest quality levels and are manufactured to resist the most severe weather conditions.

LOCKBOLTS: a lock bolt is a two-piece metal fastener consisting of a collar and a grooved mandrel. It is secured when the collar is threaded onto the mandrel and pressed into place using a powerful tool. Lockbolts are used to create secure long term connections that are capable of withstanding force and vibration.

STRUCTURAL RIVETS: these are designed to meet the most demanding of applications, where an exceptional resistance for both tensile and shear strength is needed. Quick and easy to install, they provide unalterable fastening for extensive periods of time.

COPPERED NAILSIdeal for repairing dents in bodywork.Manufactured in steel and plated in copper ready to spot weld.

NYLON CAPS FOR RIVETSDesigned to protect and improve the visual aspect of blind rivets.Available in a wide range of colours.

NYLON COVERS FOR RIVETSThe covers are put prior to the riveting process.A very simple and fast setting process.They can be used with rivets with a diameter of 4.8 mm and length up to 16 mm.

STEEL WASHERS FOR RIVETSUsed when the back side of the application is made of a soft or brittle material(plastic, wood, etc.) or when the holesize is drilled in the back end.Useful in repairs as a consequence of replacing rivets.

NEOPRENE WASHERS FOR RIVETSCreates a locking head in blind rivets and in end closed insert nuts.They are extremely easy to used.

SPEED RIVETS: synonymous with speed and efficiency, they are supplied in a strip of paper (loading system) and placed using a repetition system with a single mandrel. Speed fastening offers a fast and high precision assembly that guaran-tee an increase in productivity. There are no interruptions and up to 60 rivets per minute can be set.

Aluminium Rivets

STANDARD RIVETWide grip range.Where especially high torque force is not needed.Great variety of materials.Fast and simple with great quality assembly.

SELECTION OF THE RIVETASSEMBLY MATERIAL:The selection of the rivet depends on the type of material being assembled. When working on a soft or fragile material like wood, plastic, or a car number plate, the appropriate rivets would be the Peeled, Trebol and S-Trebol rivet. The Multigrip rivet is suitable for joining plastics and slim metallic plates. In metal work and the motor sector, the clip and mouldings will be fixed with a Profile Clincher. The Grooved rivets assemble metal to fibrous surfaces such as wood and bricks.

GRIP RANGE:The thickness of the pieces being assembled must be within the rivet grip range. The Structural, Multigrip and Trebol rivet have multigrip capability. They are versatile rivets that can be used in wide grip. This helps to reduce the inventory.

DIAMETER DRILL RANGE:The appropriate hole is specified in the rivet table. It´s necessary to verify the hole diameter in order to offer enhanced performance benefits.

IMPERMEABILITY AND HERMETIC CLOSURE:There are situations with liquid and vapor leaks, where it´s neces-sary for a rivet to fill the hole, like the Sealed, Structural and S-Trebol Rivet. They also absorb vibrations and reduce electrical problems.

CORROSION RESISTANCE:A deciding factor when choosing a rivet is the corrosion resistance which is required in each application. It´s necessary to select the same material in the application as the rivet in order to get more resistance. The Aluminum Magnesium Rivets offer an optimum corrosion tolerance, the Stainless Steel A2 and A4 is a harder material. Using the protective coatings or other coverings (anodized, galvanic, delta-Seal) improves the performance resistance of the parts exposed to the natural elements.

SHEAR AND TENSILE STREGTHThe Aluminium Magnesium Rivets offer more resistance to the shear and tensile strength. The BRALO Structural Rivets and Lockbolts are the best to use on applications with strong loads.

ENDINGS:Sometimes the color rivet must be adjusted to the aesthetic characte-ristics of the applications. The BRALO Rivets have countless lacquers, with epoxy spray paint. We have more than 100 colours from white to black according to the RAL standard.

For a maximum corrosion resistance and durability of our steel rivet, we apply different protective coatings, whether zincating or organic coatings such as Delta Seal or Delta Protekt.

Another option is anodising. This is only available for aluminium products and it protects the rivet from abrasion and saline corrosion agents. It also allows the product to be tinted in a wide variety of colours.

At BRALO we can work closely with our customers to manufacture special products in order to meet the specific needs in each application.

Bralo Trebol Rivet is a break-mandrel blind rivet designed for the fastening, in a fast and simple way, of rigid materials to soft or low resistance materials.

This rivet is provided with a big counter head in the shape of three double parts offering a large contact area on the blind side. This large expansion on the blind side distributes the load and the clamping force, reducing the risk of crushing and the material breaking.

HEAD WITH SHAPE OF THREE PARTS

The S-Trebol version provides additional resistance to both tensile and shear strenghts and it can be used in oversized holes because its expansion is adaptable. It also has a neoprene washer that provides excellent sealing results. Rivet Bralo S-Trebol has the approval of DIBt (Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik).

The sealed rivets are break mandrel blind rivets that guarantee a solid and high quality fastening. The joints are completely sealed to fluids, avoiding leakage of liquids or vapours due to the locking of the mandrel inside the rivet body.

Bralo Sealed Rivet is available in a wide range of diameters, from 3.2 mm to 6.4 mm, covering a wide grip range (0.5 mm to 20 mm).

Effective method of joining sheets and profiles to soft and fibrous surfaces or roofs.This fastener does not need through holes.Large head creates a wide bearing area.Resistant to corrosion.

DRIVE RIVET

This type of blind rivet is widely used in the construction sector to fix sheets, moldings, angles, coatings or insulation.

This fixing element does not need through holes. The rivet mandrel (stainless steel) is forcefully introducedwith a punch into the aluminium rivet body, usually by using a hammer, which opens the body in three different blades, thus fixing it inside the walls of the material to be fixed.

Speed Rivets

PLACEMENT

They are supplied in a strip of paper (loading system) and placed using a repetition system with a single mandrel. At the end of a riveting cycle, the next rivet is automatically fed in the tool nose-piece, ready to begin a new cycle.

This is due to its bulging and pre-shaped end. The result is a fastener element with a high torque capacity and a good resistance to shear strength.

SPEED RIVETS: synonymous with speed and efficiency. They are supplied in a strip of paper (loading system) and placed using a repetition system with a single mandrel. Speed fastening offers a fast and high precision assembly and guarantees and increase in productivity. There are no interruptions and up to 60 rivets per minute can be placed.

Insert Nuts

BRALO threaded Inserts provide a fast, reliable and simple fastening system with high quality and resis-tance.

1. Insert the nut onto the tool and then into the hole. Push the trigger and the tool will set the main body, completely filling the hole through a radial expansion.

2. The insert nut reduces after being set. Finally, unscrew the nut from the tool.

Setting effort (N)It is the tensile force necessary to cause the riveting force to assemble the insert nut.

Thread tensile force (N)Occurs when a riveted joint is subjected to two forces in opposite directions applied to the symmetry axis of the insert.

Torque testing (Nm)The torque is the strength which is used to tighten the screw in order to secure the attachment of parts without causing breakage.

They are used for fastening materials with single sided setting access, such as hinges, supports or panels.

SELECTION OF THE INSERT NUTDIAMETER OF THE HEAD:BRALO offer many different sizes ranging from M3 to M12. The head is selected according to the material that is to be joined.SORT OF INSERT NUT:There are five types of BRALO Insert Nuts: cylindrical, grooved, hexagon, half-hexagon and grooved stud nut. Also, an option of open or closed end must be chosen. They also have diverse characteristics such as torque setting, strengths and materials.

RANGE TO ASSEMBLE:It is necessary to choose the nut that has the parameters within the range of the work to assemble.CORROSION RESISTANCE:We shall attempt to break the contact between the two metals to reduce the corrosion, by using zincplatings, protective coatings or paintings, that prevent any contact between materials: Delta Seal, galvanised, anodised, zinc nickel, etc.
