- Natural Resources Canada’s Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) manages the
Government of Canada’s ecoENERGY Efficiency Initiatives (Energy Efficiency Act and
Energy Efficiency Regulations).
- The Energy Efficiency Regulations apply to dealers who import regulated energy-
using products into Canada for sale or lease or ship regulated energy-using products
that are manufactured in one Canadian province to another for sale or lease.
- A dealer is defined in the Energy Efficiency Act as a person engaged in the
business of:
a) manufacturing energy-using products in Canada
b) importing energy-using products into Canada or
c) selling or leasing energy-using products obtained directly or indirectly from a
person engaged in a business described in a) or b) or an agent thereof
