Wilson Road, Sheffield Local now open
The new Sainsbury’s Local Store, Wilson Road
Sheffield was officially opened earlier by Ann
Wyatt from Tree Top House.
Tree Top House, within Sheffield Children's
Hospital provides accommodation for families
with sick children, opened in 2001 with
approximately 350 families per year utilising
these facilities.
As part of Sainsburys Community Spirit
Programme, CTS (with help from Steve Nieman
and Graham Brown) re painted the play room of
Tree Top House. In addition to a new coat of
paint and some much needed shelving a
mountain of new toys were donated to fill the
newly decorated play room.
Ann and Nichola from Treetop House are over
the moon with the new playroom and many
families will benefit from the refurbishment.

Dear All concerned
Thank you so much for the part you played in the community spirit
program with Sainsbury’s to refurbish our playroom, it looks
fantastic and the children will love it. Please pass on our thanks to
everyone involved. Your support is very much appreciated.
The Sick Children's Trust now has seven ‘Homes from Home’
where families from all over the UK can stay while their children are
receiving hospital treatment. We are currently able to help up to
3,500 families of seriously ill children every year in this way. During
2012 we are fundraising for £1.5 million to create our second ‘home
from home’ at Sheffield Children’s Hospital to nearly double the
amount of rooms we currently offer, and so support many more
families every year.
On behalf of all the sick children and their families that we support,
thank you for this generous donation.
Kind Regards,
Nichola Higgins
Assistant House Manager.
