The Summer Internship Program

Background

CtrlS is India’s leading provider of Datacenter solutions with 2 Tier-IV datacenters currently

operational in Navi Mumbai and Hyderabad. CtrlS has many firsts to its credit including India’s

first Tier-IV datacenter, besides DR and Cloud solutions that have redefined the way IT services

are consumed by client organizations.

In a short span, CtrlS has already been recognized by leading industry bodies like NASSCOM,

CII, FICCI etc., for the pioneering work in creating IT infrastructure.

The CtrlS Summer Internship Program

CtrlS is made up of doers. And there is never such a thing as too many doers. This is an

initiative to find such doers. Every year, CtrlS will offer projects to interns from engineering and

management schools which will prove to be an ultimate test of their mettle.

This year, the project is titled: “Seedingthe Cloud”and is an opportunity for young aspirants to

test their skills at research, analysis, solution building, persuasion, negotiation and relationship

building. It will test the intern’s ability to sell persuasively and evangelize the technology that is

already changing the world.

In doing so, they will learn what the industry is looking for and will have the opportunity to

create in tailor-made solutions for some of these clients.

Seeding the Cloud: The Project Outline

This project will require you to undertake the following tasks:

1. Understand CtrlS Cloud products and solutions

2. Identify the target prospects for these solutions

3. Create a survey for to be ad database lists of these companies after

a. Validating the database

b. Creating a deep profile of these companies

4. Create a survey to be administered to the above database

5. Carry out the survey/research and analysis

6. Basis the research and analysis, make product recommendations

7. Organize meetings with the clients for CtrlS sales team

8. Participate in solution selling to the customers

To undertake these tasks, you will form yourself into teams of 3 students each with a clear target

provided for each of the above tasks. There will be a competition at the end of the project term

where each of the teams will be independently evaluated and the top 3 teams will be rewarded

for their work. All the other teams will get certificate of participation.

Project Duration: 2 months

Stipend: Between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month inclusive of travel and communication

Project kick-off: 1st April 2013

Why should you participate?

Seeding the Cloud is not only an opportunity to do a great project that will add value to your

education; it is a live experience that will prepare you for your future roles. It will give you a

hands-on experience of sales techniques, IT solution building and solution selling.

Most importantly, this is not just a summer internship. This is an opportunity to test your mettle

against students from other institutes as well as a test of your ability to work in teams; both of

which are crucial to a successful career.
