    GENERAL ENGLISH

    The basic level for students to begin their foundational skills.

    Students are provided further foundational skills to improve their macro skills. 

    This is the level where students are able to gain further skills to communicate and at CTICwe provide the tools to reach nativelike fluency. 

    The level where students are near native and can considerably expand their vocabulary,communication skills etc.

    The level where students can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, andrecognise implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously withoutmuch obvious searching for expressions.

    The General English course is designed for students from beginners to moreexperienced English speakers. It is suitable for students who may want to enhancetheir English language skills before attempting further study in Australia or toachieve their personal goals. On completion of the course students should be ableto proceed to the next level. 

    The General English (GE) program is a 5 level program offered atElementary, PreIntermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and

    Advanced levels. Each level takes 12 weeks to complete. Midterm and endof term exams are conducted every six weeks.

  • IELTS PREPARATIONThe IELTS Preparation program is designed for students who wish to preparefor the IELTS examination and/ or undertake a more intensive course of study.

    The IELTS Preparation course offers 20 weeks ofexam preparation studies.  Throughout the

    course students’ progress will be monitored withmaterials similar to those used in the real test.Midterm and end of term exams are conducted

    every six weeks.

    Experienced and passionateteachers lead dynamic andinteractive classes. The coursefocuses on:

    The CTIC English for Academic Purposes(EAP) uses communicative, task and textbased methodology to prepare and equipstudents with the skills they need to excelin their chosen field of study.

    The EAP course trains students tounderstand the Western academicphilosophy, the expectations oflecturers and tutors, and the

    conventions and structures used atuniversities.
