    Subject: Update: Issue with Sun JRE 1.6.0_18, 1.6.0_19 and 1.6.0_20

    Issue:

    Through the qualification of JRE 1.6.0_19 and JRE 1.6.0_20 Kronos has identified thesame re-logon issue discovered with the testing of JRE 1.6.0_18. A problem report hasbeen filed with Oracle/Sun on this defect: ID 1719992.

    As with JRE 1.6.0_18, customers using JRE 1.6.0_19 and 1.6.0_20 with InternetExplorer 6 or Internet Explorer 7 will see a new logon window when accessing thefollowing areas:

    Opening reports within the Timecard Editor

    Accessing advanced report manager from the Report setup section

    Selecting Edit from the Leave menu in the Timecard Editor or Schedule Editor

    Requesting reports from Report section

    Solution:

    The following are differentoptions that a customer may choose as a workaround,depending on their business needs:

    1. If using IE 6 or 7, avoid using 1.6.0_18, 1.6.0_19 or 1.6.0_20 JRE until this issueis resolved. Please refer to the following Knowledge Base articles for the latestJRE qualified:Service Pack Compatibility Matrix for Workforce Central v6.1, ID LXL-LMV-1YB-V0B

    2. If JRE 1.6.0_18, _19 or _20 must be used, upgrade to IE8 or use Firefox.

    3. On the Client side, disable Enable the next-generation Java Plug-in setting onthe Advanced tab of the Java Control Panel, e.g., on XP go to Start > Settings >Control Panel > Java > Advanced tab.

    If resolution is obtained from Sun or another JRE that resolves the issue is released, anupdate to this Technical Advisory will be posted.
