Taking advantage of the TED Fellows Program is simple. Step 1) Access the TED Fellows website which contains a quarterly calendar of PD opportunities.Website: www.csubtedfellows.comStep 2) Register for PD sessions. On the calendar you will find a registration link for each PD session. You will receive a confirmation email when you register!Step 3) Attend the PD sessions. We track each session you attend. You will receive a quarterly notice of how many hours you have earned. Once you hit 40 hours you will have earned 3 CEUs.
CSUB is proud to offer all* credential students the opportunity to participate in Professional Development (PD) opportunities in addition to receiving their teaching credential. Be a part of the ONLY Teacher Education Professional Development Program in Kern County! Once you have achieved 40 hours of PD (by the time you complete your credential), you will be eligible for 3 units of Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The first 100 credential students to complete 40 hours will have the cost of their 3 CEUs waived. Any student that completes 40 hours of PD after the first 100, can purchase 3 CEUs at a discount rate of $41 per unit for a total of $123 for 3 units.
What is Professional Development? Research shows educator quality to be the most important influence upon student achievement. High quality professional development is essential to increase educators’ knowledge, skills, attitudes and beliefs so that they may enable all students to learn at high levels. In the TED Fellows Program at CSUB, you will experience PD in: academic literacy, classroom management, common core training, differentiated instruction, EL strategies, universal design for learning, technology training, and more.
