Ralph Turner, a former NAIA National Coach of the Year, is entering his first season as CSU-Pueblo’s head men’s basketball coach.Turner came to CSU-Pueblo after serving as the longtime coach at Union (Tenn.) University from 1994 to 2009, a program he helped turn into an NAIA powerhouse. At Union, he led the Bulldogs to 10 NAIA

National Tournaments over 15 seasons, included three NAIA “Elite Eight” appearances and six “Sweet 16” appearances. In all, Turner boasted a 362-151 record at Union (.706 winning percentage), leading Union to six TranSouth Regular Season and Tournament Championships (1998, 1999, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009).During the 2009 championship season, when Union advanced to the NAIA “Sweet 16”, he was named the NAIA National Coach of the Year.

Turner will be joined by assistant coach Tommie Johnson and current CSU-Pueblo basketball players. CSU-Pueblo camps take place at Massari Arena located on the beautiful CSU-Pueblo campus in Pueblo, CO. Massari Arena includes three all wood full-courts in a comfortable air-conditioned environment.

POSITION PLAY CAMPJULY 1-2, 2011

The ThunderWolves Position Play Camp will include all campers receiving specialized instruction in their position. The campers will be divided into small position groups for instruction. Then the small groups will be brought back together to put their instruction to use in game situations.Daily Schedule: Day One Schedule: 8 a.m. to Noon - Instruction Noon to 1 p.m. - Lunch is provided 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. - Instruction Day Two Schedule: 8 a.m. - Noon - Instruction Noon - Camp concludes

COLLEGE WORKOUT CAMPJUNE 24-25, 2011

This is a camp that will expose the participants to the college experience. They will be put through actual individual college workouts as well as experiencing a college practice. Day One Schedule: 8 a.m. to Noon - Instruction Noon to 1 p.m. - Lunch is provided 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. - Instruction Day Two Schedule: 8 a.m. - Noon - Instruction Noon - Camp concludes
