Socials, welcome to CS Mumbai Our 26th CS Global is going to be a special one. Prepare to dive head first into one of the world's most dynamic and vibrant cities, a feast for the senses. The theme of CS Mumbai is CONTRAST so prepare to delve into the cities many contradictions and juxtaposition that make it one of the most unique places on the planet.

DAY 1 (17 NOV) 09.30 Meet at venue - Kitab Mahal, Fort (Please have breakfast before you arrive) How: Make your way to Ministry of New on the 3rd floor of Kitab Mahal in Fort, look for the ( light blue tiled building ) You can book an Uber using the Uber app. Search for Ministry of New, on the map. (Alternately if you’d like to be adventurous, pick up a

black-and-yellow taxi from right outside your hotel but make sure you pay by metre, and ask for Kitab Mahal - and always use your google map). One project and three minutes to stand up, say hello and talk through your latest work. It’s the global creative snapshot of now. 11.15 Break 11.30 That's Me That Is (part 2) 12.30 Lunch Lunch will be at the Ministry itself, at the wonderful Cafeteria. 13.30 Tour of Fort & Kala Ghoda. What : Fort & Kala Ghoda are a reflection of the spirit of Mumbai, of business, commerce, art and culture; a living monument to contemporary Mumbai and the city’s multicultural history. We’ve got three fantastic local creatives to organise a walk of Fort: Ruchita Madhok & Aditya Palsule (Kahani Designworks) and Sameer Kulavoor (Bombay Duck Designs). How: We will be dividing into two groups. One goes with Ruchita & Aditya and the other with Sameer. It will be a 1.5 hour walk so please make sure you carry water bottles. 15.30 Arrive back at Ministry of New 15.45 Marlies Bloemendaal (Founding Partner, Ministry of New) Who: Marlies Bloemendaal After having happily lived in Antwerp for 15 years, Marlies was ready for a new challenge and, more importantly, for a warmer climate and palm trees. So she decided to pack her bags and move to Mumbai in 2007 and runs the co-working space in which we are based today.

16.15 Startup Sessions: Startups & VCs Lightbox Ventures are an entrepreneur-focused VC whose portfolio includes Cleartrip, Inmobi, Faasos, Furlenco and Magic Bus – startups that are now incredibly successful and some are household names in India. Lightbox gives us their perspective of the Startup culture in India.

17.30 Art for masses: Sanket Avlani (Founder, Taxi Fabric) One of the most well-known startups in India, Taxi Fabric was started by Sanket Avlani turning taxi seat covers into canvases, to create an outlet for designers to express, and to enhance the everyday travel experience of thousands of locals.

18.15 Marrying New & Old: Anu Tandon Vieira (Founder, The Retyrement Plan) Connecting the dots to make a new product from old stuff and making it so that our hearts can be a little lighter and brighter, Anu Tandon Vieira crafts furniture from recycled items using traditional Rattan craftsmen.

19.00 Drinks at the Ministry of New 19.30 Walk to Khyber for Dinner. 19.45 – 22.00 Dinner at Khyber restaurant Khyber is an iconic restaurant located in the art & heritage district of the city of Mumbai. DAY 2 (18 NOV) 8:00 Breakfast at Hotel 9:00 Leave from Hotel for Mahim Station What: Mahim falls on the causeway between South Mumbai and the suburbs and it is also an important access point to Dharavi, one of the biggest slums in the world, and one of the most prosperous places in terms of industry and innovation. Take an Uber from your hotel to Mahim Station. Look for V-Jay Bakery on your left. We meet at the station bang opposite the Bakery. Note: Please remember to carry your own water bottle as this is a 2.5 hour long walking tour. Do not carry valuables, and if you do, then keep them safe during the walk. We advise everyone to wear covered shoes, as some areas can be dirty. We also ask ladies to dress modestly (shoulders and chest covered, clothing below the knee, nothing too tight or revealing.) 9.30 Arrive at Mahim Station - Opposite V-Jay Bakery

How: Look for your guide who will be wearing a light blue, collared shirt with the company logo “Reality Tours” embroidered on it. 14.30 India Now 14.30 Creativity & Education for New India: Ravi Deshpande For the last 20+ years Ravi Deshpande has been prominent in the creative industry. Ravi is the co-founder of école intuit.lab and Whyness, a new-age digital agency, located in the institute. Ravi tells us, from the position of an academic and professional, where the creative industries and education are headed.

14.50 The Creativity of Entertainment: Nishant Radhakrishnan A veteran in the film industry, working earlier in the US and now in India, Nishant is best known for his work as an Editor for Dhobi Ghat (2010), Ghajini (2008) and Frontline (1983). He shares a deep love and passion for movies and tells us what makes “Bollywood” so important to contemporary Indian culture.

17.30 Not another NGO please: Stefano Funari (I was a Sari) ‘I was a Sari’, a project set up by the NGOs CORP India, Srujna, Sui & Dhaga and Reality Gives, aims to help Indian women through self-employment. The project, originally defined by the Politecnico di Milano team alongside the team of NGOs, sees old saris transformed into items of clothing and fashion accessories.

18.00 Teaching new tricks: Anisah Osman Britton Anisah is Founder at 23 Code Street, a coding school for women which, for every paying student, teaches a student in in India how to code. Young, enthusiastic and on a mission to change the world, one coder at a time, Anisah is from London, but is currently travelling and staying in Mumbai to fulfil this mission.
