IRB-01 Mandatory Training “Cheat Sheet”
Effective January 7th, 2013, IRB‐01 requires Mandatory Training for researchers. This training has 3 components:
1. HIPAA for Researchers (Privacy Office requirement) 2. CITI web based training or NIH Extramural web based training. 3. Local IRB Video.
The following directions are for accessing the IRB‐01 CITI Training (training requirement 2 above).

Enter your Gatorlink username and password.

Click Agree & Continue to CITI
Once you login, click on the Main Menu, then My Self Service, Training and Development, then CITI
Training
If the CITI training option does not appear, please contact 392‐HELP(4357)

Click “The Integrity Assurance Statement””
Answer appropriately and click “Submit”

Click on the available “required modules”, read the material, and take the quiz at the bottom. After completing the quiz, “Go to the next module” to continue.

Finish by reading the “University of Florida” page.
Click “Go to the Main Menu” to complete the training.

This information should automatically be transmitted to UF within 3 – 4 business days. It will then take a couple of additional business days to migrate to myIRB.
We recommend printing a copy of your “Completion Reports” for your records.

NOTES:
1. If you have previously completed CITI training in the past calendar year you do not need to “re‐take” the IRB‐01 CITI course. Email a copy of your training certificate to UFIRB‐[email protected].
2. If you completed CITI training in order to conduct research at the VA, your training records should already be in our system. If not, please email us a copy of your training certificate to UFIRB‐[email protected].
3. If you have taken the NIH extramural training within the past year, email a copy of your training certificate to UFIRB‐[email protected]. You do not need to take the CITI training.
4. NOTE: it will take a few business days for certificate data to be migrated into myIRB.
