Most commonly, employees begin their career on the night shift and are pro-vided opportunities to bid for day shift openings as they arise. Standard night shift hours are, Monday-Thursday, 3:45 PM – 2:30 AM. Standard day shift hours are, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:45 PM. Opportunities for overtime are available based upon production needs.

Full-time employees are able to participate in Chart’s benefits package after successfully completing the required probationary period. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, flex and dependent care spending, life and disability insurance benefits, 11 paid holidays, paid time off (PTO) with a carry-over option, and 401K including an employer contribution. Full-time employees are also eligible to participate in an annual production incentive program.

The welding process at our Ball Ground, GA facility is mainly TGAW. Our welders must possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols. Chart believes in developing its people, so our welders can expect to have opportunities to cross train in additional manufacturing processes, including GMAW, plumbing, wrapping, mass spec and vacuum technology.
