Holy Cross Catholic School FIRST Teams Formed!

LEGO League has landed at Holy Cross. We are happy to announce 23 students have registered to participate on 4 FIRST teams at three levels. FIRST along with LEGO have joined forces, forming an international organization to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) to students in grades K though 12 using fun, creative and competitive activities.

At the FIRST LEGO League Junior (Jr. FLL) level, twelve K through 2nd grade students (two teams) will be constructing working models with LEGOs demonstrating a creative way to manage waste (trash). Seven 3rd and 4th grade students will make up the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team and build and program a robot using the LEGO (MindStorm) EV3 kit. Our FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team is made up of four middle-school students, who will construct and program a robotic device using the TETRIX system, Java programming and Android field devices.

Thanksgiving Feast Preparations Mrs. Wade’s class is (always!) in charge of deviled eggs: The mixers stir the …..and then the fillers squish yolks all up with it all back into the egg white other good stuff… halves.

Everyone’s looking forward to sharing that wonderful meal tomorrow!
